Located 14 miles from Beamish Museum, Tudhoe Park House provides accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. A warm welcome from the owners who went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. A very comfortable, spacious and quiet room with a clean modern bathroom. A good choice for breakfast and the quality of the food was excellent. A good location to visit Durham and the surrounding area.
Featuring a restaurant and a bar, The Tree House offers accommodations in Durham, 20 miles from Stadium of Light and 20 miles from The Sage. We loved our stay it was clean and had all you would need. Location was perfect for us and the pub below is lovely with great food. Staff very welcoming and everything was straight forward ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Less than 10 minutes’ drive from the historic city of Durham, the Croxdale Inn sits in the small village of Croxdale just half an hour’s drive from the wilderness of the Pennine dales. the attention and service was very good, even on 2 accasions they took the throuble to open the kitcken and cook for us outside of their schedules . Very attentive helpfull and effective the owner, it was a pleasant stay.
Spennymoor and local area were very nice - better than expected. Bishop Auckland park very nice as was the riverside wildflower meadow at Willington. Durham, not far away is excellent - one of the few cities to have got better over the years.
Frog and Ferret, excellent pub. Fish and Chips from locally chippy, moderately good. The Grand Electric Hall, Wetherspoon's, lovely building but worst didn't care staff I've ever encountered in a Spoons.
Called into the town centre, like most towns nowadays it’s a bit run down, but still lots of individual shops open and also very clean and Free Car Parking, what a wonderful surprise. 👍😊. Definitely would call in again when in the area.
Do not book a standard double. They are tired, dirty and it defintiely feels like you are being put in a second rate room I would chose Travel Lodge over this place if you are just there for a bed for the night. Breakfast was very disapointing having been told when we were shown our table that the menu was not available and it was a buffet style instead. The cooked stuff was OK but there was no choice of eggs as advertised, or fish or porridge. I would say their advertising on-line details are misleading if providing a buffet is an option to replace a full menu without a discount.
A lovely bit of luxury and pampering for a long weekend. Staff so friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Even the weather smiled on us! Watching the deer at breakfast was quite magical.
Great communication with Gareth he's really helpful. The flat was basic but very clean and comfortable. He provided tea, coffee and milk which was nice. We only spent a while in the flat as we were meeting people for a night out. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was huge with a giant jacuzzi bath! Wish we'd had time to use it! All in all a very pleasant stay and a lovely host. If we do ever go back to Spennymoor we will definitely book the flat again.
Accommodation: Large and well appointed Location: Close to Spennymoor and shops
