I expected a nice hotel but the Dakota Glasgow was more than that. Very pretty and comfortable hotel - they've thought of everything (including outlets for EU plugs at the desk). We had a lovely, very comfortable room and bed, it was immaculately clean, everything updated and within walking distance pretty much everywhere we went. Staff, too, was very friendly.

We had a great stay -- the hotel is rather unique in that it's actually several townhouses that are connected and then redone as rooms. Our room was delightfully decorated fitting of the boutique hotel status, with a huge bathroom and large, comfortable bed. The hotel staff were communicative and helpful, both before our stay, messaging over booking.com, at reception, and while there. We were celebrating a special occasion, and had a nice surprise welcoming us in the room, which we appreciated. We also ordered room service from the restaurant (always a nice treat at hotels that offer it) and this hit the spot -- there was good variety, the food was high quality, and the ambiance and experience quickly made us feel at home. Lastly, it was our first time in Glasgow and as travelers without a car, we weren't quite sure where to stay. This spot worked out quite well -- the area is nice, and the university area (around Byres road), with more shops and cafes and such, is just a 10 minute walk, or a shorter bus ride. The bus stop is also right outside and very convenient, and that or the train provide quick transit access through the city. Overall, this worked out very well for us -- we had comfortable accommodations, tasty food, and great service. Would recommend to others.

I spent three weeks at this hotel, and I can confidently say it's one of the best accommodations I've ever experienced! From the moment I checked in, the hospitality was exceptional. My room was impeccably clean, spacious, and flooded with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The delightful view from the window added an extra touch of charm, making it a perfect place to unwind. I particularly appreciated the well-equipped kitchen; all the necessary cooking utensils were readily available, allowing me to prepare meals with ease. One of the standout features was the smart TV, which provided fantastic entertainment options. Connecting to Netflix and YouTube was seamless, making evenings in my room enjoyable and relaxing. Additionally, the quality of the coffee provided in the room was outstanding—definitely a highlight of my mornings! Overall, my stay exceeded all expectations, and I can't recommend this hotel highly enough for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I was greatly surprised when we arrived to the hotel. It was boutique and near everything (10min walk) the rooms were beyond spacious, clean and comfortable! The breakfast they offer could improve but it’s ok.

I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff's warm and welcoming attitude stood out, making me feel right at home. Every member of the team was incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The service at the hotel was nothing short of amazing. The front desk staff were efficient and helpful, housekeeping maintained the room impeccably, and any requests were promptly addressed with a smile. The room was spacious, and had all the amenities I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the view from my room was breathtaking. Overall, the Clayton Hotel provided an outstanding stay, primarily due to the incredible staff and their dedication to excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Glasgow.
