Hotel in Staffin
On the Isle of Skye, Flodigarry Hotel and High Tide Restaurant offers accommodations in a country house sitting on a hill and offering sea views towards the Torridons and Scottish mainland. The location is amazing with fantastic sea views. The staff are excellent. There's a lovely feeling about the place We were in the attic rooms which were compact and bijou but with everything you needed - except the bath/shower which was too small for most humans to comfortably use. The food was excellent with good vegan options.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely place surrounded by beautiful nature. Our host, Donald, was most hospitable. Breakfast was very generous. Place was most comfortable and very clean. We were very lucky to have found this beautiful haven in the Isle of Skye. Quiraing, Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, and other places of interest were easy reach from this place. We definitely and highly recommend this place!

On the Isle of Skye’s North East coast, Kenmore provides stylish self-catering accommodations for 4 guests and is less than 2 miles from Staffin. Mairi and Donald are just the nicest hosts you’ll ever meet. They were so kind to accommodate our family and even brought out toys for the kids to play with. The location is amazing and just the right price. There’s more than enough room for a family of 4. We actually had 5 since our twins were in portable cots and there is plenty of room. The kitchen was stocked and there were even some starter groceries which was great since we had a later arrival. I will never forget my trip here and I hope to come back soon.

Driftwood Cottage offers accommodations in Staffin, 16 mi from Portree. The cottage is 8 miles from Uig. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. There is a dining area and a kitchen. Driftwood cottage is perfect. A wonderful quiet location with amazing views. Very clean and well equipped. We immediately felt at home. When we sent the owner a text to ask a question we had a very helpful and speedy response. Whilst the bathroom is downstairs, we did discover that there is an ensuite toilet in the twin bed room which saved us a trip downstairs in the night.
I dragged my partner up to Staffin to hunt for dinosaur footprints - and we found some! Sadly the dinosaur museum was shut when we were there, but we've added it to our list for when we go back... We also checked out the castles in the area. Really lovely scenery - you can see the Old Man of Storr nearby which would be perfect for keen walkers...
What a wonderful property it is ...100%happy We stay there and everything there is more than enough for any one . This is a very charming home with all the characters..even the indoor plants have a wow factor. I would definitely recommend this ...living there was such a pleasure There is a beach within a walking distance and its feel like very private ...no many people just one or 2 . There is plenty to enjoy ...walking hiking and climbing . We went to fairy pools so don't forget to get some midges spray :)and recommend good hiking shoes. Old man of Storr is another place where tou can go ...even just sitting in the garden or conservatory is a magical experience. Definitely recommend and wants to go back and stay more just to enjoy my walks to the beach ⛱
Staffin is a very small town, one restaurant, one takeaway service (we didn't use either of these). We loved Staffin as its location was perfect for what we wanted to do in Skye. The area is great to use as a base for exploring the island, it is not for people who want to have lots of people about or be in a busy environment.
Small store well stocked for essentials as well as a takeaway. Lovely walk via the campsite just above the cottage to the pier - well worth it. Although 16 miles from Portree the route is so scenic and has so many places to visit - Old man of Storr, kilted rock and waterfall, The Lealt and a few Highland Coos 😀
Staffin is a remote crofting community in north Skye - and getting elsewhere on Skye can take a while. Scenery is stunning - but the walk to Quiraing proved too difficult for me (a not very agile 60-something with dodgy knees). But there are lots of other things to see, such as Kilt Rock and the Lealt Falls, which are not so physically challenging to get to. Indifferent weather meant I did not get to everything I wanted to see (like the Old Man of Storr), but that is always a hazard in Skye. At present getting an evening meal is difficult. There is nowhere in Staffin, other than a takeaway (which in usual times is also a restaurant but not currently allowed to operate as such). Nearest is Uig Hotel but it books up for meals very quickly.
From start to finish we had a wonderful trip. The cottage is a wee gem which is genuinely welcoming, spacious and rustic. The bedrooms were lovely and beds super cosy on cold nights. Calum and the Islanders are also a lovely bunch. Highly recommended ! We were there during Storm Adrian and the wind/ hail/ snow just added to the whole experience. Alba gu bràth

We loved the location and the look of the cottage, it was great being in a traditional building. Staffin is a beautiful area and not too busy but still has amenities near by. The cottage was very clean and well stocked. I had brought my own washing up liquid and stuff but that wasn't needed as it had been provided for us. We were left some Skye ales and shortbread as a welcome gift which we found very thoughtful. Anne and Donald were lovely hosts who were there if we needed them but also left us to enjoy our holiday.

What did we like? Everything! The rooms, kitchen and bathrooms were very clean, beds comfortable, rooms well maintained and spacious with 2 ensuites. The view was fantastic from the living room and kitchen. Parking is more than enough for 3 cars. Ben, the property manager was very helpful, professional, friendly and went out of his way when we asked for colouring pencils for the children. I will book the Taste of the Sea property when visiting the Isle of Skye again. Can't praise it enough.

Check in was easy, with a warm welcome and easy parking. There are only three rooms meaning the stay is comfortable and quiet. The breakfast will leave you very full for the rest of the day with fresh berries, eggs and salmon available. The rooms are lovely and clean, with nice touches and beautiful views over Staffin and the Quiraing Mountains. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Skye.

The cottage was really well appointed, spacious and yet cosy and warm in the rain! The kitchen diner is a great space to spend time and enjoyed cooking and eating there. It has been sensitively refurbished to a high standard and is very comfortable and homely. There are 2 local stores in Staffin that sell all essentials for your stay and are reasonably priced.

We loved Kenmore! Staffin was the perfect place for us in Isle of Skye. There was so much to see and explore close by, but the location was calm and relaxing. The owners were super nice and helpful on things to see while staying on the island. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic location in Staffin at the top part of the island next to a loch, beautiful and peaceful. Great facilities, log burner, comfy sofas, dishwasher and great bathrooms. The bath needs a mention as it's amazing, and the view from the window is perfect when you go for a bath. recommended!

Couldn’t get a place in Portree and so glad. Staffin is North quiet and lovely and was perfect. Donald was wonderful. Made reservations for us, gave great info for trekking and sites to see and even cleaned our boots. Breakfast was huge and delicious had to ask for less food. Can’t say enough !

Quaint cottage in a stunning setting with sea views to the front and sun sets over The Quaraing to the rear. Close to the Floddygarry Hotel which serves wonderful food. Even has a local taxi-number on Bus Stop next to house. Super big kitchen and very comfortable beds.
