This Grade II listed, 15th-century manor house offers four-star, luxury rooms and award-winning dining in an beautiful location by the Worcestershire and Staffordshire canal. This is a very pleasant hotel just off the M6 so very convenient for breaking our journey when visiting our family in Scotland. The bar supper last night was delicious and the self service breakfast this morning was excellent. It is probably the quietest hotel we have ever spent the night in so we had a great night’s sleep after a very early start to catch the morning ferry from Caen. We will definitely stay there on our next trip to visit family.

Bridgewood House is located in Stafford, within 1.8 mi of Stafford Castle and 4.3 mi of Shugborough Hall. Nice you had a pub and restaurant down stairs. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Very pleasant.

Dating back to 1550, this magnificent hall offers elegant rooms surrounded by 20 acres of beautiful scenery. The hotel looks like a beautiful castle. We drove from Liverpool and it took us about 2 hours to go. It is indeed rather far but it is worthy. First of all, the hotel staff was very kind. They showed us the way to the room and also told us stories about the hotel. The dining was great too, even if most Chinese people are not able to get used to British food but I still highly recommend you to have a try here. IT WAS REALLY DELICIOUS !!! On the next day upon our checking out, I found that I lost my wallet. The gentleman in the reception helped me a lot. He helped me to find my coat and checked everywhere in the dining room. However, we did not find my wallet in the hotel. He was so patient that I even felt very sorry to waste his time. That morning I was in a hurry to pay a visit to Land Rover Plant in Solihull, therefore I did not have time to have my breakfast there. This gentleman asked me to take some bread with me in case I would be hungry, HE WAS SO SO SO NICE :) I write down this not only to thank this gentleman but also I want to thank this beautiful hotel. Because finally I found my wallet , it was in my car.I do hope someday I could come back to the UK and stay here again, to meet those friendly people. Thank you all. On a working farm on the A51 highway, these converted barns offer simply furnished rooms with a flat-screen TV, as well as free Wi-Fi and free parking. The location was great for our early start at Curborough sprint circuit. The proprietors were friendly and we were warmly welcomed. All the required facilities were available and the room clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for our cars and trailer. A good dinner was had at a local pub recommended by the the proprietors.

The Dog & Doublet is a newly renovated country inn located in the village of Sandon, 5 miles from Stafford. It offers individually designed bedrooms, free Wi-Fi and home-cooked food. Excellent and very friendly and helpful staff.

Set 11 mi from Stafford Castle, Greensnips Farm Bed & Breakfast offers accommodations with a shared lounge, a garden and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Steve and Andy are really nice hosts. What a wonderful place they made this! Such a shame we did not have time to enjoy it longer.
