Just 10 minutes from Wigan center, Macdonald Kilhey Court Hotel & Spa offers a spa, 2 award-winning restaurants and delicious breakfasts. With free parking, the hotel is 12 miles from Bolton. The breakfast was amazing - the room it was served in was beautiful with great views. Grounds were lovely - would have loved to spend more time there: a great place for a romantic break. Good staff.
Among beautiful countryside and only 2 minutes’ drive from J27 of the M6 motorway and is surrounded by the Lancashire countryside. Thanks to all the staff in these uncertain times for making our stay .. GREAT.. AGAIN ... enjoyable birthday treat with long lost friends .. a very special weekend

Set in Wigan, a 20-minute walk from DW Stadium, The Brocket Arms Wetherspoon has a garden and rooms with free WiFi access. Lovely stay at the Brocket, couldn’t fault anything! All of the staff were so lovely, especially Dale and Jenny. They were so helpful. Will definitely return 😊
We didn't have time to explore the local area as we decided to leave the Britannia Hotel after 2hrs! First impressions around the vicinity of the hotel were poor. Area appeared dilapidated, untidy and overgrown with weeds. Wouldn't want to return!
I had no heating or heating control in my room. The main window would not close properly and cold air was coming in. So I did not sleep well. This is not Satisfactory at this time of year as I was very cold and no warm duvet or blankets available.
Very poor in appearance. Running tap that don't turn off. Rooms not very clean. Towel only for one person and not even a bath mat. Food bad and staff not really interested about the guest.. a plus side was we had a great meal in the premier inn across the road. Friendly. Come on Brittania up your game.
lots to see around Standish ,,,,,lots of history as well ,,,, Wigan and Haigh Hall a short distance away ,,,,,,for walking Parbold and Ashurst is worth a visit ,,,,,,got to say Wigan is worth a visit ,,,Lots of nice Restaurants ,,,,,,The Revolution in King Street is worth a visit for a nice meal
Location easy to get to just off m/way staff friendly place clean .Decor little out dated . Food was advertised but not available . Other than that nice good value for money would stay again .
Handy for where I was going visiting friends etc ; lots of places to visit but unfortunately I could not visit the town of Wigan, Blackpool or Southport or the numerous antique centres in the area, because I could not stay longer than three nights
It’s cheap although the premier inn across the road is roughly the same cost.
