We only stayed for one night, on our return trip, so I had not much expectation, but it was really a nice stay. The breakfast buffet was diverse and of good quality, the room was cosy, the car park convenient, and the gym facility, despite being small, a nice addition. The staff was really professional and helpful. If you fancy dreaming in a castle, that's definitely the one to chose!

Wallace Monument and Stirling castle are a MUST see, in this place. If you want to visit the historic monuments and also see the city you need 2 days. I've been there before so this time I stayed in Stirling only for one day and used the place as a starting point for excursions outside the city,
Lovely town to walk round. Castle spectacular. Bannockburn visitor centre very interesting if you go on the regular free guided tour. Stirling ghost walk good however did not have time to visit the stirling jail this time but have been before. and would recommend it. Lots of little pubs playing live music and plenty of cafes
There is history everywhere in Stirling. Old buildings with unique & fascinating architectural details line Castle Hill & it's well worth going on a guided walking tour. Restaurants are numerous, the shops are interesting & local people are very friendly & honest. It feels like a safe city & is great fun to wander around
Small scottish town. Nice walkingarea in central parts. Close to Stirling castle and Wallace monument. Don’t miss out on a visit to Deanston distillery in Doune-a 20 minute busride from Stirling. Stayed at several hotels in town, all of them ok, no favourite. Favorite place for a meal is the pub No 2 Baker street. Friendly staff, perfect Fish’n’chips and cold beer!
Historically very interesting. Some fine buildings to look at and learn from. Hellish steep in places if you are not good on your feet, but generally there are seats available every 100 yards or so. Most of the inner city car parking is 4 hours maximum ...... not enough if you really want to take a good look around. There are signs of faded and fading glory, but the locals are as welcoming and as friendly as one is likely to find anywhere. Some good non-chain restaurants also.
Driving on the cobblestone streets of historic Stirling can be a bit tight for first time drivers from the US. Parking can be difficult to find too. The town is definitely worth a visit when in Scotland if just to visit the castle and experience the old word charm of the downtown.
Stirling
Good value. Typical student accommodation with communal kitchen. Excellent shower. Although couple of miles from Stirling centre there are plenty of buses to the university. Recommend you get off at first stop and walk up to the accommodation area rather than get off at bus hub. Alternative to bus into Stirling is to walk to Bridge of Allan (about 20-25 minutes away) and take a train to Stirling or onwards to Glasgow or Edinburgh. Good pub (though not cheap) next to the university entrance. Also easy walk to Wallace Monument.
Stirling
We loved our stay at the Stirling Townhouse. The four of us were very comfortable there. It was tastefully decorated with high end furniture, a beautiful kitchen and comfortable beds. The place is one block from shopping, restaurants and a couple nice bakeries. We were able to park right outside on the street each night. There is also a view of historic buildings out the living room window. Thank you Ollie, Ben and Alastair for being such great hosts! We definitely recommend staying here.
Stirling
Very accessible to town, train station and other public transportation and very close to the castle. We were able to easily get to the William Wallace memorial vis bus. Rooms were small but cozy, pretty typical in Europe and the UK anyway. Compared to some places we've stayed in Scotland, I felt like it was a pretty quiet area. Hostesses were wonderful. Breakfast was to order along with many options to make anybody happy. Would absolutely stay here again.
Bed was comfortable, complimentary tea + biscuits, body wash in the shower. Nice area, close to city centre, free parking. Staff was very friendly, allowed late check out and sorted our issue with non working key card immediately. Very good budget hotel to stay over while making trips around central Scotland. really appreciated the effort to be more environmentally friendly!
The location was very nice, central to Stirling and an easy walk to many tourist spots like the Castle, pubs, restaurants, etc. The apartment we rented was spacious - two large bedrooms, and a good size living area with kitchen. There was also a parking not behind the hotel that we used, but be aware it's 2 hour parking between 8 am - 6 pm.
Stirling
This is a nice property in a good location within walking distance of the sights, I.e,Stirling Castle. The apartment was clean and spacious. It had a common kitchen, sitting area, and laundry facilities. The hosts reached out to us with clear check in procedures and checked in to make sure all was well. The apartment was also very reasonable.
Stirling
Very comfortable, cosy house. Every need catered for. Lovely garden. Extremely comfy beds. Good location within easy reach of Stirling city centre and places of interest. Lots of booklets etc provided on Scotland and a comprehensive guide to Stirling and the accomodation rules. Welcome basket with breakfast essentials a really lovely touch.
Near the top of the hill from city centre to the castle. An easy walk down and a regular bus from tha stop outside the Golden Lion Hotel to the stop almost opposite the apartment. Several very good restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was very well equipped with modern fittings. It was comfortable and peaceful.
Stirling
Stirling is brilliant. The castle is worth a visit. Beautiful area of Scotland. Beds were comfy, linen and towels clean, kitchen had plenty of equipment and rooms were fairly clean and tidy. Place is OK to eat and crash, with other awake time spent out of it.
I had a twin room although I booked a single. The decor was very nice and the room very clean. There was a good selection of cooked and continental breakfasts. The Hotel in located in the centre of Stirling, very handy for visiting the Castle etc.
Stirling
This was a lovely b&b with an accommodating, friendly host. It was located very close to a local restaurant with delicious food. Our room was comfortable and quiet. It was a great stopping place on our visit to Stirling Castle.
Stirling Highland Hotel was ideal for reaching all tourist and town attractions. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The room had tea making facilities and towels and linen were excellent.
Best hotel we stayed at while in Scotland. Room was clean and spacious. The staff were excellent. Free parking on premises. However, we did arrive after 11pm and left after breakfast.
Stirling
The hostel is at a great location in Stirling; we could walk everywhere. The rooms, beds, and restrooms/showers were clean. One night there only, but good experience.
