Hotel in Stirling
The Golden Lion Hotel has welcomed guests, including royalty, for more than 200 years. This hotel is the best. It made me experience fire alarm with performance of real fire engine and fire fighter rushing in the hotel. I was told to get dress and wait outside to see the action under 0 degree temperature. It was just amazing as I shiver in coldness and excitement to only realize there is no fire. Overall, good experience staff was friendly, and parking was relatively easy.

Set on the slopes of Ochil Hill, the 19th-century Broomhall Castle features charming rooms, some with four-poster beds. The historic city of Stirling is just 5 miles away. We stayed at Broomhall Castle for one night after visiting Edinburgh for the fringe. It was a fantastic way to end the trip after the hustle and bustle of the City. There was a delightfully spooky air to Broomhall that made the stay a lot of fun. The staff were fantastic, very friendly with lots of stories and a great cooked breakfast. I would stay again.

Victoria Square & The Orangery, Broomhall Castle, and King Robert Hotel got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Stirling.
It’s a lovely place to visit for one day only, no need to stay overnight. I wasted my 2 days bus ticks and hotel due to misleading of travel advice from internet. It’s a small place can use foot to walk almost all the sightseeing points
Great location to get to the city centre or out to the Trossachs. Lots of eateries in Bridge of Allan and also at the university. Bike hire at loch Katrine is perfect for a day out around the loch. Also not too far from rumbling bridge. Great wool shop in Stirling city centre.
stirling is quite a compact place and easy to get around.the high street is mostly pedestrianised and an array of shops to choose from as well as a shopping centre a visit to the old town and up to the castle is a must.there"s a jail, cowanes hospital exhibition(next to the big church) and the castle is just amazing..beautiful big graveyard with great views and for those who like a tipple, there"s a small distillery if you keep walking past the road leading up to the castle, down a small hill and round to the right. for those who want to visit the wallace monument and prefer to walk, there"s a trail at the other side of the train station that will take you there the bus and train stations are very close to each other and a 5 minute walk will take you into the centre. lots of good bars and restuarants to choose from..i would recommend the german doner kebabs..it was delicious
If you can get a guided tour of the castle go for it - this is where British history all comes together. Stirling is decent for shopping too, and seems to have more hairdressers than people. The Sainsbury's (or Tesco a bit further in) filling station always seems to have a keen price for petrol and diesel if you are heading for the Highlands up the A9 or branching off to Callender (it's a short distance in the opposite direction and going into Stirling a bit.)
Stirling is a lovely town to visit..interesting historical places Stirling Castle is fantastic. Good mix of shops, independent and larger stores. Good mix of eateries too, were not disappointed by the quality.
The history of the place is fantastic. The Castle and Old Jail are a must visit. You can walk to the Wallace Monument in about 50 minutes from the City centre and its a comfortable walk upto to the monument from the cafe/gift shop as the pathway twists its way up the hillside. The view from the top of the monument is fantastic in whatever direction you look.
Stirling
The hotel is in a great location, close to the old town attractions such as Stirling Castle. Pubs and restaurants are a dry short walk away, as are local shops. Food & drinks service in the hotel is excellent with very good breakfast options, all day eating and a very nice evening meal selection. Overall the Allan Park Hotel is highly recommended based on our experience.
The room was comfortable and spacious , if somewhat far away from entrance! The bathroom was large and well appointed. The hotel is well placed in the historic area of Stirling and the parking is an extra bonus. The hill from the town centre is quite steep but as you notice the various historic buildings and the views , you do not notice the incline.
The staff dealt with the change to our room very well by offering us reimbursement in the form of vouchers for dinner. The food was amazing, the staff were all very polite, and the location of the hotel was absolutely brilliant to access Stirling centre and the castle. Very accommodating staff made the stay very pleasurable.
Stirling
Stirling is brilliant. The castle is worth a visit. Beautiful area of Scotland. Beds were comfy, linen and towels clean, kitchen had plenty of equipment and rooms were fairly clean and tidy. Place is OK to eat and crash, with other awake time spent out of it.
couldn’t fault anything with the stay, the room was fantastic as was the food and the staff. would recommend and would definitely stay again. location is perfect for getting around as it’s a quiet area but a very short walk to the city centre/castle.
Stirling
The location of the property was excellent, and the view was even better. The owners were prompt to show me around the apartment, and the full kitchen allowed me to save a lot on food. I will absolutely book here again if work brings me back to Stirling!
We spent a very comfortable night at Friars Wynd. It is right in the centre of Stirling and has a public car park with an entrance directly into the hotel. We had a most excellent dinner in their restaurant which we thoroughly recommend.

Lovely spacious trendy family home. Absolutely spotless and everything you could need and more from a stay. Amazing sized bathrooms...one you could party in lol! Close to Stirling City Centre in fact lovely views of Castle from house.
Hotel was clean with hand sanitising stations all over, the staff were all friendly and welcoming. breakfast was nice got the option of continental or full breakfast. Bedroom was well laid out and the bed was comfortable top sleep.
Proximity of Bannockburn Heritage centre and battlefield within a few yards of the hotel. Robert the Bruce statue and monument. Lovely parkland to walk. Easy access for Stirling Castle and The Wallace Monument.
Stirling
It was a home from home, with sufficient space for a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and a dog. 3 double bedrooms - nicely decorated. Good location - driving distance to stirling and Wallace monument.
Great location on the university campus and friendly staff. Hotel was comfortable and food was good. The waiter called Allan at breakfast service looked after us very well.

Great location, great facilities and I couldn't have asked for a warmer reception. If I ever come back to Stirling I'll happily stat at Ravenswood!
This hotel expectations because, for the very reasonable price, it had everything you would hope for. The food in the restaurant was nice as well!
