With a restaurant, bar and free Wi-Fi, this family-run hotel is on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, 15 minutes from Teesside and near the Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk. Very welcoming. Couldn't have been more helpful. Food was delicious: dinner, breakfast and the packed lunch we ordered. Offered a lift in the morning to get us back to Clay Bank to get straight back onto the coast to coast / Cleveland Way. Good people.
Stokesley Old Post Office is set in Stokesley. The accommodations is 7.5 mi from Middlesbrough. The holiday home also features 1 bathroom. The cottage was clean with the basics provided. It was a nice touch that toliet roll and good quality towels were provided. The communication with the owner was great and he responded quickly to all text messages. It was a great base for our little getaway. Although there was no dedicated parking it wasn't an issue, we parked over by the green which is unlimited and free. The WiFi was good and the guest Netflix was fab for a movie night. Loved that we weren't charged more to take our to cockapoos. The living room was big enough to set up a crate for their bed.
Offering free WiFi and garden views, Mill Farm B&B is an accommodations set in Great Ayton. The property is 24 mi from Darlington, and complimentary private parking is offered. We had a very pleasant stay in the family room, which actually consists of two adjacent bedrooms, sharing the bathroom. Great breakfast served by the cheerful and helpful hosts.
Just under 7 miles from Middlesbrough, The Treebridge Hotel provides luxurious accommodations 5 minutes’ drive from the North York Moors National Park. Breakfast was delicious (Full English) Location is very quiet with great views. Staff are very friendly and service was great. Highly recommended for business travel and / or personal - located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors
Stokesley is a lovely village with a charming high street and very friendly locals. The takeaway options leave a lot to be desired with YThai and China Wok being the best options. Unfortunately pubs werent open due to C19 however given the friendly locals would imagine a good atmosphere.
It isn't huge but we spent the morning pottering around poking into different shops. There was also a gallery on at the village hall which was good to look around. Don't go on Mondays though, because half the places are closed, but apprently there is a market on Fridays according to the parking signs, but we weren't there then.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant and bar had an excellent choice of food and drink and a great atmosphere. The en suite room was very good. The hotel has a pharmacy and a coop with a cash machine nearby. We were offered transport to the railway station or the nearest part of the Cleveland Way where we could continue the long distance walk.
Lovely friendly hotel in a beautiful setting on the edge of North Yorkshire moors, close to the Coast to Coast and Cleveland Way walks. The rooms are a good size and comfortable bathrooms have recently been renovated. Excellent breakfast plenty of choice and vegetarian option available. Dinner menu has good range of dishes and the early bird menu is very reasonably priced food is excellent and portions are generous. Bar has a good choice of traditional ales supplemented with a wide range of spirits and wines. Absolutely enjoyed our stay.
Nice little market town but not much to do. Pubs only serve food in an afternoon so very limited eating facilities. We luckily managed to prebook a table at the Italian restaurant but 8pm was the last booking - it closed at 9pm.
The village was lovely, spent two enjoyable evenings in the local pub, lovely oldey worldly atmosphere their restraunt gets very busy so book ahead, great driving out to local areas. Easy run to Whitby and surrounding areas.
