Baraset Barn Hotel, Ettington Park Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon, and The Townhouse got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The hotel looks amazing and is well located on the edge of Stratford so easy to walk in to the attractions and shops. The room was a very good size but the bathroom is really dated with damaged to the bath and sink which do make you slightly worried on the cleanliness.
The hotel was lovely. A very rustic feel about it. The bed was really comfy and the facilities in the room were perfect. The location was amazing to get everywhere around the centre. The car park (once located) had spaces and wasn’t too overpriced for the area. It is limited spaces so I can see why it’s not included in the price. The breakfast was top quality with an amazing range to cater for all. Overall I would recommend this hotel. The negative was that the TV that had no sound which was solved by a quick turn off and turn back on. It had very limited channels only 1-5, which isn’t a massive issue but if we had our kids, then it would have been 😂
Very beautiful place to visit. Lots of places to eat along the river or in town centre. We ate at the Ask Italian in one of the side marketplace type street. lovely food and drinks. Also The Embankment is a nice place esp. when weather is nice to sit and dine outside. Plenty of sight seeing of Shakespeare's historical places. Anne Hathaway s Cottage and gardens is a must to go and visit. As long as your mobile and can manage steps etc. There is a carpark right next door to the cottage. Not ideal for those with poor mobility in cottage. Bensons tea room opposite Shakespeare's birth place is fab and plentiful to eat and drink in or out for brunch etc or more if you choose. Also a visit to Warwick Castle is a must if you can spare a day. You can hire free wheelchair if needed, but you cannot do upper floor in main building, with chair but every where else is fairly accessible. The falconry display is a must see too. The birds fly so close over your head, great display with music and sounds galore. The canal runs through the city centre where you can see a working lock for canal boats to pass through. If you also get time visit butterfly farm which is just behind the main carparks by the river. Try and take your own picnic as prices can be rather expensive on site in Warwick castle. The cute guy in the pic is a ghecko if im right. he appeared out of the bushes in butterfly farm.. so watch out for him if you go.
It is easy to get around Stratford upon Avon - we walked everywhere. We particularly liked Shakespeare's New Place and Anne Hathaway's Cottage and Gardens. Of course, a visit to the theatre is a must. We had anexcellent meal at Vintners prior to our theatre visit.
So much to see , The Swan Theatre had an exhibition on and you can visit the viewing tower for lovely views over Stratford upon Avon ,with information given by a guide . Anne Hathaways cottage and gardens is delightful
I loved Stratford Upon Avon. People were very friendly and accomodating. We found lots of places to eat and the food was good every time, from a quick take out to the sit in restaurants. The Food for Love served us food well past there closing time and were as friendly as if we had walked in just after opening. The food was lovely and the pancakes (Nutella) to die for. We also ate at the Four Seasons and again, the food was lovely and the staff very helpful. Some of the other customers were a bit rowdy and I felt that the staff of the restaurant could have stopped us getting bothered by them, bu they didnt. Stratford was very busy, especially in all the Shakespeare attractions, but that was to expected and did not spoil the fun of sightseeing. We were blessed with lovely weather while we were there which added to the enjoyment of the visit. I would love to visit again
I loved the authentic period feel of the hotel. The walls and floors are sloping and uneven as you’d expect of a Tudor style building-to me it just added to the thrill of staying in Stratford upon Avon! It truly did put a smile on my face to walk the wonky corridors! Completely charming. I had no problem getting a carpark within the hotel’s own carpark, which other reviews had led me to be problematic, so I was very happy about that. The location was excellent for sightseeing and also had many great options for restaurants close by.
Everything. We loved it all. The food was delicious and the staff were very on the ball with my lactose intolerance. It wasn't cheap but worth every penny. The room and bathroom were large, clean and comfortable. The hotel stands in it's own, extensive and stunning, grounds. The surrounding area is also beautiful and lovely Stratford upon Avon is close by. All the staff we encountered were very helpful, friendly and appeared happy in their work.
Lovely little hotel, exactly what I wanted for a night away for my partners birthday. Excellent, large room very clean, nice big comfy bed, tea/coffee and water provided. Ample free parking. Lovely friendly receptionist. Great location just a 15/20 minute stroll in to the centre of Stratford upon Avon, would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
Stratford-upon-Avon
Lucy the host was phenomenal. So friendly we had a three bed room for £110 including a full English breakfast for three people. Absolutely amazing value. The bed was comfy the rooms clean. It's 10 minutes away from the town centre. If I could award this hotel above 10 I would have. The best hotel I have ever stayed in Stratford upon Avon.
the location of the Manor is great. but the 'add on' part of the hotel, which we were put in was a short drive up the Banbury Road. this was not the reason I booked Alveston Manor. it was a sentimental trip and I expected to stay in the main hotel. Not some poorly maintained new part.
this hotel is in a terrific location for "doing" Stratford upon Avon. The entrance hides the fact that this is a huge hotel. Staff (from those who service your room to reception desk and Leisure Centre) are what makes this hotel great
Friendly staff, amazing location for all of what Stratford-upon-Avon has to offer. Continental breakfast offering good. Plenty of ways into the hotel depending on what direction you're coming from.
The hotel is just a short walk from Shakespeare's Birth Place and the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon. The building is modern and well maintained. Excellent parking and nice grounds.
The breakfasts were fantastic, served by an excellent & friendly staff. A very special thanks to Angela who helped us make our visit to Stratford upon Avon very enjoyable.
There were only 2 positive points that I take from our stay here. The location with a quick drive to Stratford upon Avon and the look of the hotel from the outside!
Lovely hotel with a very spacious clean room. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly. The location was great for our visit to Stratford upon Avon.
