Lovely location, kind staff. Great value food. Perfect for waking in the area. At the end of your day you have a bed, a bar & a restaurant, makes things nice & easy. Quite area despite being on the “main” road. This is a country in so don’t expect the Ritz, it does what it says on the tin.
The great thing about Strathblane is its proximity to a variety of attractions. From a distillery to being within easy reach (11 miles) of Glasgow City Centre it was a good base for our break. Forced to rely on public transport we were able to travel into the city (or towards Stirling in the opposite direction) using the hourly bus service through the village. An alternative route was to use the bus to reach the railhead at Milngavie (say it as Mulguy) for a choice of destinations including Edinburgh.
Not able to review as we didn't get to Strathblane as we had to catch a bus in Glasgow early next day & misunderstood trivago icon & address of Glasgow Rd thinking it was in Glasgow near bus terminal. Disappointed it wasn't clear as first time users.
