Good location for the Stadium of Light, very good room, solid breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, just enough parking and lots of shops and amenities nearby. Not cheap but not crazy either. Room was very clean on arrival.

We did not go into Sunderland.
We did not go into Sunderland. Seaburn was sufficient for the short stay that we had. A few nice restaurants. We visited the Tram Shelter and would highly recommend it, although they might have limited opening hours during winter. We missed out on trying North at the opposite end of the long easy walked beach or prom . The Seaburn Inn is probably every day regardless of season.

We visited Sunderland to attend a Bruce Springsteen concert, Decided to stay the day before as well as the night after, Very mixed thoughts on our stay,The shopping centre was nice and friendly. Going out for tea was another matter! Whilst having a drink before tea in a town centre bar my Daughter was verbally abused by a local man which became problematic. However other venues were much nicer. After the concert we walked through the town and stopped for a drink which was very relaxed. Mowbray park is beautiful and peaceful even at midnight

You need to book well in advance if you want to watch the Black Cats at the stadium of light! There is a nice railway connection to nearby Seaham if you want to visit. You can walk along the Wear through a sculpture park and the city centre is excellent for cheap food and drink.

Well the whole experience here was brilliant 👏
Me and my young son stayed Friday night before the One tournament Saturday morning and we was greeted by the wonderful lady who owns the hotel and made to feel very welcome immediately. The place was clean and tidy and had its own kitchen with breakfast continentals at the ready. Highly recommended if your going to stay in Sunderland.
