We only stayed for a night after finishing the Hebridean way but wished we could have stayed longer, the house was immaculately clean and Alex met us at the property and run through everything. He was very kind and welcoming.

My host, Rosemary, was exceptionally thoughtful and gracious. When I arrived, I discovered a welcome platter of fruits, cheeses, charcuterie, and freshly baked bread. She checked-in with me periodically during my stay to see if I needed anything. The property was an immaculate one-bedroom house on the seashore. The arched ceilings and windows from floor to ceiling illuminated the white interior beautifully. It was a very bright and cheery place to spend several days. Rosemary has a no shoes in the house policy—same as I do back home—which kept the white floors sparkling clean. I cooked most days and the kitchen was outfitted with all the necessary appliances, cutlery, cookware, and serving dishes. The location was a 5-minute drive from Stornoway center and it was a beautiful 20-30 minute walk along the shore into town.
