Surrounded by beautiful, quiet parkland and gardens, Hazlewood Castle & Spa is a striking ancient building, thoughtfully restored and tastefully renovated to offer a distinct, different experience. I thought it was in a lovely setting. It was a shame I couldn't use the bar 🍺. But that is down to the covid. I will be staying there again.
Boasting garden views, Brook Hall provides full home accommodations around 8.1 mi from Bramham Park. This property features free private parking, a kitchen and free WiFi. I booked Brook Hall for my husbands 30th birthday with a group of friends for 1 night, Edward's house is absolutely beautiful and we all enjoyed our stay. There was very good communication from Edward and any information I needed was given with quick responses. The outside "party room" was perfect for what we needed, I was able to send some friends earlier to decorate and set up which wasn't a problem, no issues with music being played and kitchen was perfect for what we needed to cook for our party. Plenty of parking room and outdoor space. The fire pit (all wood was provided for us) and hot tub was very nice and the house is just beautiful. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home Edward and for making my husbands birthday one not to be forgotten! I would 100% recommend Brook Hall.

Beautiful place with very rich history! Staff were fantastic.. The tour guide who took us round was Very intelligent, he knew what he was doing! We really enjoy the tour he took us through! Thumbs up to Him!👍🤗
We could only manage 2 nights as this was the 1st time the children had been away with us without their parents. There is so much to see and do in the area. However, the short duration is an excuse to return.
Loved the history of the castle and the chapel on the site. There was a wedding taking place as we arrived. The gardens are lovely, very well kept. Very enjoyable visit, met some nice people who were also celebrating birthdays. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food really good in the restaurant. We didn't go into Tadcaster, had a very relaxing day in the hotel.
We stayed at Wighill, about 2 miles from the centre of Tadcaster, as we were following the Tour de Yorkshire. The locals really celebrated the fact that the tour was coming to Tadcaster, and had decorated shops and businesses with bunting and other cycle themed decorations. It is a town which has suffered greatly due to the floods of Christmas 2015 where the main bridge into the centre was washed away, so it was good to see the locals coming together to host and celebrate the tour. Wighill is peaceful but has a nice pub called the White Swan. Tadcaster has a supermarket so all self catering provisions are available there.
Tadcaster is still suffering from the floods in late 2015 and remains cut in half as the road bridge is still not replaced. As a result a lot of the shops etc. have closed so it feels a bit of a ghost town. However, Wetherby and Boston Spa nearby are worth a visit.
We were given a warm welcome by the owners with a hot drink and cake on arrival. Clean and comfortable accommodation and an excellent cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Safe and secure car parking on site. Our room overlooked the well kept gardens. Very quiet location.
I thought it was in a lovely setting. It was a shame I couldn't use the bar 🍺. But that is down to the covid. I will be staying there again.
