Tenby is a great little seaside town in Pembrokeshire Wales. The streets are interwoven within the old town walls so it gives an atmosphere of history as well as being a holiday location for the coast. Some lovely eateries and independent shops make it ideal for a mooch around. 3 beaches with their own characteristics. North beach is a walk from any car parks but if you are up for a steep walk it is the closest to the town and shops. It is the most sheltered for swimming. Castle beach is easily accessible from town and from here boats leave to visit Caldy Island, I would recommend a trip here, a fascinating day out. South beach is my favourite. Sandy and close to the car park, although quite a small car park, so an early start in the busier time of year is advised to get a place. A bit further away from shopping than the other beaches but has a convenient restaurant just steps away. Out of the 3 beaches this is also the most dog friendly. My pup loves to chase around on the sand and the open space is ideal, although all beaches are fully open to dogs during the low season there are some restrictions during the summer months to look out for. All in all the town is very dog friendly for those who holiday with their pooch. There are handy stickers announcing places as dog friendly, however, on my last stroll around town I didn't encounter a single shop, cafe or pub that objected to the dog following me in. A lovely place to stay and relax or explore.
Tenby is a beautiful place to visit and one we return to time and time again. Lovely beaches with plenty of eateries on offer. We were able to park the car up at the guest house and wander at our leisure on foot.
Came for the Tenby Blues Festival, not the best this year but still an enjoyable weekend away. Only really poor bit was being charged for an apartment that was in fact a hotel bedroom with a double bed, two chairs and an en-suite
Tenby is a beautiful place to visit. Plenty of things to see and do. I would definitely recommend a trip to this beautiful part of Wales. Lovely restaurants in Tenby Town, never short of a place to eat. I have visited Tenby many times previously and I will visit again soon. Don't hesitate to visit if you are thinking about it - you won't be disappointed!
Tenby is a great place for walks on the beach. I especially like Tenby because there aren’t any large arcades . Tenby has bags of character with many interesting places to walk. Plenty of winding streets, interesting shops and views. Although there are a multitude of eateries in the town I personally don’t find many of them tasty or merit a return, which is disappointing. However, do not let this put you off Tenby is a perfect place to spend time with family, friends or on your own.
Beautiful place to stay. Lovely beaches. Lots of very nice restaurants to chose from. We found the staff in each of the restaurants and bars we visited , were very helpful, efficient and happy! A rare thing these days.
Tenby
The hosts were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The guest house is in a perfect position as it’s so close to the centre but far enough away so there is no noise at night. The property itself was nipping clean and the breakfast was served pipping hot. Parking is at a premium in Tenby but thankfully there is plenty parking close to the property in the railway station car park which is very reasonably priced.
Tenby
Great location on the seafront, with a stunning sea view from our bedroom over the beach and across to Caldey island Room was very comfortable Breakfast was delcious - we enjoyed the seagull on our windsill who came to watch - but don't feed him ! Town is a short walk away to go for dinner etc. or walk round the harbour or on the beach Tenby is one of the most lovely towns in Britain.
A great short stay in Tenby at the Park Hotel. Amazing views across the bay from the top of the cliff. Great to have onsite parking, and its an easy walk into the town centre along the sea front. There is also a cliff path which is very steep so not for people with mobility issues. Room was small but comfortable and we had a sea view. The garden bar was a nice area to have a drink.
Tenby
The restaurant this was located above was charming and served delicious peppercorn chicken. Also, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The room itself was surprising because I didn’t expect it to look as good as it did. This really made the stay in Tenby quite something.
absolutely everything dog friendly breakfast was delicious bedroom with sea view was fantastic, lovely decor and very spacious and big bathroom friendly staff right by Tenby centre walking distance to restaurants shops beach everything you needed on your doorstep
Had a brilliant stay at Royal Lion Hotel. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Our room had an amazing sea view and was very clean. Good prices on the drinks and lovely sea view from room. We are already looking forwards to returning very soon.
Location overlooking the sea is absolutely spot on. Its an easy work right into the harbour area of Tenby and all the beaches. Although parking at the hotel is limited there is a huge carpark just over the road which is very cheap.
Tenby
The hotel was right near public car parking facilities and the beach and quite near the main town center .the hotel was basic but the food was great, the people who ran the guest house were lovely and the rooms were very comfortable
lovely house, very clean, cozy, quiet area yet within easy reach to Tenby town and beaches, didn’t find any faults at all will definitely be coming back. I travelled with a 3 year old and 13 year old and the house was perfect.
The house was very clean and tidy. In the perfect location for exploring Tenby and south Pembrokeshire. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed.
Breakfast choices were great, buffet options followed by a luxurious cooked breakfast 🍳 The walk into Tenby wasn’t as bad as it looked, pleasuring 10min walk.
A very clean modern accommodation with a view of the sea in the distance . Great facilities with parking and within walking distance to tenby beach .
The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff were very friendly, chatty, helpful and accommodating! Great value! Great breakfast!
