It is a very nice cozy hotel, 5 minutes walking from the bus or train station. The breakfast was very nice and enough for almost the rest of the day. It was a kettle in the room with tea and coffee, which was very attentive. The staff is very nice, helpful, they look after us very well, special thanks to Caroline for it. We had a great time there. I definitely would choose again this hotel for my stay.

A village on the river Wye with the justly famous ruins of...

A village on the river Wye with the justly famous ruins of the abbey, which are in the care of Cadw (Welsh Heritage). Good car parking, choice of cafe/restaurants and excellent walks both along the river and on the wooded hills surrounding the valley. The area was once heavily industrialised and though this is long gone there are several things to see relating to that, including the old railway station with its cafe, and the Angidy trail. The Devil's Pulpit walk in the wood up to the ridge is also well worth the effort for the views alone.

Tintern is a lovely place for a two night stay.

Tintern is a lovely place for a two night stay. We visited the abbey and would have had a better look around the mill complex given time. Ideally, the best time would be over the weekend as some shops only opened Friday -Sunday.

Tintern is a lovely little place, very relaxing and peaceful. It is great for people who like to walk and you can either walk flat along the river Wye or go up into the hills and woods. There were a lot of cyclists about so clearly good for cycling. Tintern Abbey is lovely and worth a look around. The Devil's Pulpit is a steady uphill climb but well worth it on a nice day. It is a very small place and therefore, not much to do if you are staying for a few days, so you may want to travel to other places (the buses seemed very regular) but it is a nice place for a base.

Tintern is a small cozy place with natural beauty, charm, and history. People were very helpful and friendly. It was a perfect short stay to begin our travels in Wales. To make the experience memorable my husband and I brought a copy of the poem "Lines Written a Few Miles above Tintern Abbey" by William Wordsworth to read and contemplate while gazing at the site.

This hotel is in a picturesque location, we were blown away. The setting is amazing, beautiful gardens lots of seating to take full advantage of the surroundings. Our garden room was very stylish and had everything you needed for a relaxing break. Our Sunday lunch was one of the best I have had in a very long time. That followed by an equally tasty breakfast the following morning. All the staff from bar, restaurant thru to reception were super friendly. Would definitely recommend. Look forward to visiting again soon.

The location was absolutely perfect. Tintern itself is so pretty with lots to do and other locations are within easy reach. We loved Tintern Abbey and towns such as Chepstow and Monmouth. There are lots of CADW sites to explore too. The flat was very clean and comfortable with tea, coffee and milk provided. Great hosts who made sure we had all the details needed in plenty of time and they responded immediately to our messages. We will definitely be back!

The room vas very nice and comfortable. We spent very little time in it as we were in Tintern for the Folk on the Lawn festival. The guesthouse was extremely well located for it; a lovely 10 minutes walk away from the festival site

The yurt was beautiful and the site really well equipped, clean and quiet. The views were sensational and there is a path from the site down to Tintern so no need to use a car once there.
