I stayed in the single room, which could have been an afterthought, but I felt it was really well laid out and appointed. I appreciate the ethics of the business. All the staff I met were super nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Great location also. Thought it might be noisy, from the pub, but it was just fine.

In the picturesque Dart Valley, 5 miles from Totnes, The Maltsters Arms is an 18th-century riverside inn offering high-quality en suite accommodation. The room and facilities are perfect. This is our third time staying, as the location is amazing, and it is really good value for money. Breakfast is amazing, very generous offering, with full English, or other warm breakfast choices, as well as toast, juice, tea / coffee - so brilliant. Even catered for the fact I prefer a herbal tea, and had a lovely pot of mint tea each morning. There is also tea / coffee making facilities in the room as well.

Situated on the banks of the River Dart, The Steam Packet Inn offers a restaurant and free WiFi access. The historic town centre of Totnes is just a 5-minute walk away. Excellent, location, great food and drink and welcoming staff. Ideal place to sit with a cider in the sun next to the river Dart. A short walk will take you to the river ferry that takes you into Dartmouth for the day. We are going back in July.

I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to have somewhere to base themselves in South Devon.

Featuring a bar, King William the fourth is set in Totnes in the Devon region, a 5-minute walk from Totnes Castle. The property is located 4 km from Watermans Arms. Free WiFi is available. The check in was really easy, the staff at the bar were lovely. The room I had was perfect, a bathtub, views of the main street, very comfy bed, TV and tea coffee. I was only in town one evening but I will definintly come again.

The Old Forge is a 600-year old stone building offering accommodation in Totnes, 400 metres from the town centre and a 5 minute walk from Totnes Castle. Breakfast was exceptional in a beautiful conservatory. We had a 'starter' fruit salad followed by a 'main course' of a Full English (alongside lashings of coffee and an orange juice), which set us up for the day. Julie gave us loads of tips of the best places to walk and eat; and we felt incredibly well looked after overall!

Nestled in the village of Dartington between the Dartmoor National Park and the spectacular South Devon coastline, The Cott Inn has been serving since the 1300’s. The Cott Inn is a beautiful, well kept, traditional property with a lovely adjoining garden, a wonderful ambience and is a very comfortable place to spend an evening and an overnight stay. Very friendly and professional staff, a great choice of beverages and quality food. Breakfast quality and overall service quite exceptional.
