Located in Tynemouth, a 10-minute walk from King Edward's Bay and 1.5 miles from Cullercoats Beach, Host & Stay - Tyne View provides accommodations with amenities such as free WiFi and a flat-screen... The location was perfect . A quiet area with a wonderful view across the Tyne but also central for exploring the whole area on foot. The suggestions from the owner for places to visit and to eat were really good and made the week for us. We've rebooked for next year already.
Offering free WiFi and free private parking, Host & Stay - Peacock House is located in Tynemouth, within just a 7-minute walk of King Edward's Bay. Fabulous, quirky place - really beautiful interior with all home comforts and more! Comfy bed, gorgeous bath in the bedroom and a fantastic kitchen and living room. There was a slight problem with a water leak but it was dealt with immediately by the host. Will definitely book again as we have family in the North East and it was a perfect base for us.
This was first visit to Tynemouth and really enjoyed our stay. The coastal walks suited my wife and myself as we are over 70 . We also noticed the cleanliness of the area even including the many benches along the front. The main town centre catered for everyone with ample bars and restaurants.
Fantastic place to stay in all seasons -so much to do for all ages -brilliant coastal views, great walks, historical -within driving distance (and bus ride) to Hadrian's Wall, Bamburgh and a number of other great Northumberland castles. Fantastic choice of restaurants, freshest fish and chips ever! The list goes on -'Geordies' are the most friendliest people in the world!
Tynemouth is beautiful, be it in the middle of Winter or the middle of Summer! Heaps to do - Priory and castle right on your doorstep as well as the most beautiful beaches in UK Longsands, Cullercoats, King Edwards Bay. Heaps of fabulous cafes and restaurants on and around Front Street. The fish quay has to be visited! Lots of fresh fish restaurants! The coastline is draped in history...and within an easy hour drive (and there are buses to many of these places too!) day trips can be made Hadrians Wall, Corbridge, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne Island. Love Tynemouth- great place to holiday - from the very young to the very old! I'll be back for sure!!
There's a nice local feeling about Tynemouth. It has a very attractive beach front, nice shops, great restaurants and lots of good bars. We particularly enjoyed our evening at Davanti Classico Italian restaurant which is housed in an attractive building at the railway station. We also made a return visit to Lola Jeans Bar and Grill - food and ambience to be recommended. We visited Newcastle for half a day during our stay - used the regular bus service there and got the Metro back. Very easy.
An interesting place with great coastal walks, friendly people and some excellent places to eat. We particularly liked Ora - especially for breakfast! Quick links into Newcastle if you fancy some city life and reliable public transport.
Fantastic beach, quirky shops and a few nice places to eat, all easily accessible by public transport (train to Newcastle Central then Metro to Tynemouth) The Metro system also means you could stay in Tynemouth and explore Newcastle and Gateshead if there for longer. Really good place for a family holiday.
Fantastic little property, near to the town and to the coast path. Great facilities and very cosy. Only a few minutes to walk into Tynemouth where there are some gorgeous little shops, bars and restaurants. Weekend market is 5 minutes walk too and well worth a visit. My favourite was the coast path to North Shields, great little beach and some great local fish mongers too. Nice walk to the north, King Edwards Bay and onto Longsands. Lots of sights further too.
Great, spacious apartment in a fantastic location for exploring Tynemouth and the surrounding area. Plenty of room for 9 (5 adults and four children), plus a dog. Excellent kitchen. We had a small query when we first arrived which the host was quick to apologise for and fix.
Loved the location - right by the beach and an easy walk into Tynemouth village, where there were lots of restaurants, cafes and bars (and the Metro). The apartment itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.
Fabulous property with some real historical stuff and in a fabulous location with great views. Tynemouth is a great base and the local pubs are good value - the food in ‘The Ship’s Cat’ is excellent.
Property was stunning and was in an ideal position for everything Tynemouth and surrounding areas had to offer. It was lovely quiet ,safe area, next to all the restaurantbetc
