The Little Bothy is located in Wansford, 4.5 miles from Fotheringhay Castle, and has a patio, garden, and free WiFi. The Little Bothy sets a standard that all holiday cottages should aim for but rarely achieve. It is decorated with style and furnished and equipped with such good taste. I would recommend it to anyone and will be going again.

Hotel in Water Newton
Well placed for Peterborough and Stamford, this hotel has free Wi-Fi and free parking. The cozy bar and restaurant serves fresh food and real ale. Great location, great food and beds were exceptionally comfy. Lady who checked us in on the Thursday was a lovely and friendly, couldn't do enough for the guests, she was minding the bar, taking orders for food and serving and was very smiley and happy, unfortunately we didn't get her name.

This is a recently refurbished old hotel which has had no expense spared to bring it up to a very high standard. The ambience is excellent, high level of finishing and comfort. Wansford is a charming old village which is very quiet. The hotel sits next to the River Nene giving a lovely peaceful rural feel. A great place to meet friends and stay.
A beautiful village that has very easy access to all the main routes. The properties in the village have great charm and elegance with not a piece of litter in site. The residents are clearly, and rightly so, very proud of their village. There is a hotel and a very inviting pub/restaurant (both dog friendly) there are also some lovely little shops and a Post Office.
met up with family and went for a short wander along to The Paper Mills for a drink on Sunday evening and was astonished that the pub shut at 20:00pm !!! however the Cross Keys a bit further up the road was open until a sensible time 23:00pm so they had some of our money
Beautiful quiet little village in easy reach of Peterborough and Stamford. Great little cafe and rooms at Wansford Country Lounge - for breakfasts and coffee etc Lovely walks in the area and easy for the Nene Valley Steam Railway!
The Haycock Hotel was great with a lovely cafe across the road and pub. It was also handy to have a corner shop to get the paper in the morning. There were lovely walks from the village and not too far to nearby villages with good pubs for a drink or meals. Overall an excellent place to stay.
Everything was really very good, but the whole place is VERY worn. Staff all good, evening meal (Food) very good, just a very unfriendly restaurant atmosphere. Table very plain. No music, TV on but couldn't hear it! Was no clean path up to the reception. Don't think it had been swept for weeks?
Wansford
Dreadful, the hotel needs to close. In its hay day it must have been a wonderful coaching Inn, unfortunately its reached the end. moved room, and the next one was even worse, it's called the Honeymoon suite Lights not working in the ensuite so showered using the torches on our phones, horrible large brown patch on the ceiling from a leak above, black mouldy grout, etc etc.
