The room was clean and the location of the hotel is excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It has a really nice bar area with a good selection of beverages. I would definitely recommend staying here.
A 15-minute walk from Alnwick Castle, The Oaks Hotel provides bed and breakfast accommodations and a full food menu. This dog-friendly Northumberland hotel provides free parking and Wi-Fi.

Really helpful and friendly staff and a great breakfast.
Warkworth was a good centre for exploring. We rented a cottage for 3 nights. Parking on the street, right at the door. There were several pubs and restaurants. Bertrams which we visited was excellent. The Masons Arms was recommended to us by several locals. The river walk was lovely, we were lucky enough to see little egrets, goosanders, herons and a kingfisher.
Nearby Amble was a good for takeaways and the pier walk.

We liked being in the centre of the village and near to the river walks. Visited the castle which is part of English Heritage and interesting to visit.
We ate in a number of small restaurants in the village and nearby fishing village of Amble. The small stalls and the market there are worth a visit.

Location excellent for visiting other places on the coast...
Location excellent for visiting other places on the coast though Warkworth itself is brilliant for famies the only downside is there are no crossings for the road. The Mason's Arms was a great place to eat, Riverside and shops very interesting and Amble quayside market on Sunday. Holy Island great place to visit but Warkworth Castle and Abbey on Holy Island too expensive for a family visit.

It is a small but interesting town dominated by its castle which is a must to visit for at least 1/2 day. Pretty and well kept, the village obviously receives many visitors and there is a predominance of holiday lets and second homes which waters down the 'local' atmosphere. It is enjoyable to meander through its honey coloured stone buildings and streets, well worth a visit.

The staff were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. This was the first time we had booked a hotel with our dog and all worked very smoothly. The separate dining room that was used for people with dogs was great and also meant that those travelling without dogs could enjoy a dog-free environment.
Breakfast and evening meal were excellent and good value.
Everything!! Lovely walk into Warkworth and see the castle. Mason's Arms steak and ale pie is amazing!
Good location for the beaches up the coast.
Very clean and relaxing
Thank you Jen!
