Washford
A Traditional 17th-century village freehouse with a beautiful riverside location, set on the very edge of the Exmoor National Park, tucked in between Cleeve Abbey and Torre Cider Farm, our beautiful... Absolutely stunning and found the Hotel/Pub perfect and accommodating. The manager Daz was incredibly friendly and could not do enough for us. Found the location very relaxing with a large beer garden and excellent food in the resteraunt for the evening. Very dog friendly pub.

ideal for a peaceful and relaxed stay, West Somerset railway station and exploring the area.Minehead with all its attractions is a short drive, train or bus ride away. you would need to travel to Williton or Minehead for shopping
We had no idea that Cleve Abbey was so close and would thoroughly recommend a trip there. We ate at the pub each night as the food was so good it seemed silly t o elsewhere. The Somerset Railway is right on your doorstep and easy to park
This is one of my favourite areas of England, with Washford a good centre for exploring Exmoor, the Quantocks and the north Somerset and Devon coast. The village is located on the West Somerset Railway heritage line if you fancy letting the train take the strain through beautiful countryside.
Very picturesque village, easy to get around. Food at the Washford Arms is very good, couple of good scenic walks to enjoy. The only problem in Washford is the through traffic is quite busy being on the main road to Minehead
A lovely village with Cleve Abbey, a great pub and a cider farm with animals on display. Main road (A39) was very busy and lack of pavements makes this a dangerous place to walk Cleve Abbey was really interesting and the White Horse is perfect for a pint, some food and an overnight stay
Local beach is Blue Blue Anchor Beach. Not a lot there but we were there in late February , however, we did manage to get a coffee at Holbourne Holiday Village, and was allowed to actually have a cigarette outside. Lovely, clean, friendly cafe. The cafe further up nearer to the station would not allow this so we gave it a miss. Why do places do this? 🤔 Smokers have been made to feel like lepers, and even banned from using the air surrounding an establishment!
Washford
Although railway was not working we had a lovely 3 days visiting places. Done the 7 mile walk to watchet along a disused railway which was a lovely walk. Hotel staff very welcoming and some good banter and lots laughs. Breakfast was amazing.
