The location was great - close to Harry Potter. Parking was close and reasonably priced. Restaurant was good. Staff was friendly.

The train prices from Manchester to London are stupidly high. We decided to drive to Watford, book in the hotel and get the train into London. It was a great decision. The train from Watford into Euston is every 10 mins and only takes 15 mins.

Ideally located close to Watford Town Center, and with easy access to the M25 and M1 motorways, the Southern Cross is a friendly local pub with a lively atmosphere.

Ideal location for where I was going. Quiet for a pub and early closing one night? Room was a decent size and could open the window in the heat.
Watford's only town-house hotel offers professional and friendly service, with a 24-hour front desk, limited car parking and WiFi, within a 15-minute drive from Harry Potter Studios.

From being able to check in early to leaving with smiles on our faces our stay at the Watford holiday Inn was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and always there to help, the food was great especially the fish chips we had in the evening, the best I've tasted not from a proper chippy, I'd 100% recommend this holiday inn and I suspect every other holiday inn are the same, when I go on another trip the first place I am going to look to stay at is the holiday Inn, you lot have won me over.

We went to Watford purely for a family visit as this is where we used to live. It was great to go back and revisit some of our old favourite places and acted as a good base for us to travel out to other surrounding locations. I would however not recommend for a holiday destination as the main town centre has very few shops etc or much to see.
Great location for train line into London etc.

Watford is a great location from which you can access London. There are lots of different restaurants, shops and activities easily accessed in the centre of town. We found Watford was a great base to stay as it provided superb access to the Warner Bros Studios and the Harry Potter tour.

Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, a huge mall and high street, pubs and bars including a great spot for board game lovers!
A big local Tesco for all your basic needs.
Access to central London is good but not the best around.

Excellent hotel, perfect as a base for visiting the Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio. Breakfast was lovely, the room was very comfortable and spacious for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). The hotel is a 3 minute walk to Watford Junction station, which is where the free shuttle bus leaves for the Harry Potter Studios. Also a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the high street with lots of places to eat. We also ate in O'Neill's Irish pub next to Watford Station and it was really cheap with tasty food.
Very nice staff, good service. Always there to help, and big part of the reason we stayed longer. Breakfast buffet was extensive. Clean rooms. Just 200 meters away from the free shuttlebus to Harry Potter (Watford Junction) and 20 minutes by train to London City Euston. We visited a Nice italian restaurant about 10 min walk from the hotel, also saw a Foodmarket with many little restaurants just around the corner.
Friendly and very helpful staff (Sam), ideal location for trains / tube / Harry potter studio access.
Watford Tube station and Watford junction about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Great access to shops / restaurants / coffee shops. It's a decent location for everything that is needed.
It was a very quiet location, even though we had the bedroom next to the road.
Lovely little place to stay was in a good location just a short bus ride ride from Watford junction with the bus stop being right outside. The host was friendly with an easy check in even bringing up left over breakfast for us which was very nice and helpful with me being disabled. Comfy and clean with free fast WiFi so will definitely stay again.
We loved the location of the hotel. It was very close to Watford Junction. The room was lovely and the staff were great. The staff was really helpful and accommodating.
