My room was clean and comfortable and an ideal for option for myself, as a solo traveller.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious.
This hotel is great value for money, and offers a comfortable stay, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again,.

Like how it’s on its own so very quiet and peaceful and secluded, above and beyond on extras like the games,dvds,music and all the bread and jam that was included and all the wide variety of coffee and things that Bryn and annelise provided for customers to use. The Beds are very comfortable and cosy so had a great night sleep.

a lovely town, the Museum above the library is small but is...
a lovely town, the Museum above the library is small but is interesting, Powis Castle is a must see, as is the steam railway, ample parking, ideal base for exploring the Montgomery Canal which is under restoration

Welshpool is a pleasant town but nothing special.
Welshpool is a pleasant town but nothing special. Good if you like walking. Lovely walk to Powis Castle which is a must and along the Montgomery canal. Things seem to close quite early. Quite a few shops closed early afternoon even on Saturday, as did the Canal Museum. Even the Castle closed at 3:30 as did the Clive Museum which is situated at the Castle although the gardens and grounds stayed open later.

We enjoyed are brief stay in Welshpool.
We enjoyed are brief stay in Welshpool. We stayed at The Royal Oak on the Main Street and had a lovely walk of the grounds to Powys Castle on the first evening and then visited the castle the following day.

An ok town, shame as bit of a reflection of the current state of affairs in most British towns these days. Was once I’m sure a bustling and thriving market town.
Very handy for walking to the brilliant Powis castle and the local steam train railway too. A few bars and restaurants also.

Welshpool is a friendly place , lots of places to see Powys Castle, steam train , canal walks , the old station that has lots of different things to buy and the cafe , I have been to Welshpool many times and enjoyed each visit

Welshpool is a quaint village.
Welshpool is a quaint village. It is not far from Shrewsbury which is a bit bigger and equally charming. Our favourite site was the the Shropshire Sculpture Park - you could easily spend a day walking around the park looking at hundreds of individual sculptures.

Llanerchydol Hall is a very nice place to stay if you want to experience sleeping in a former stately home. Not a hotel, but the rooms are very clean and the owners friendly. The rooms are very large, more like suites. Overall, a great place to stay for a few days the Welsh countryside.

This was our second stay at Treetops and we felt at home straight away !! The views are stunning !! Treetops is comfortable and has all you need for a lovely stay a great base to visit the local area it’s set in the beautiful Powys country side !!well worth a visit !!

Lots to like - superb Welsh breakfast in the morning, a spacious room, which was cleaned daily (a rarity in hotels these days!) with ample hanging and drawer space for clothes, a decent sized bathroom with hot water on tap and cheerful staff

Tucked away in the middle of nowhere, your own little haven, very chilaxin, cosy, ample facilities, luxuries with the hot tub, looking out onto the fields & hills, raising a glass to the sheep, and not far from Welshpool
