Many families visiting Weymouth loved staying at Chapter 1 Hotels, Gresham Guest House, and Dolphin Hotel Public House Weymouth.
Although Weymouth suffering from a lot of closed businesses, as are most areas in the UK, still lots to do. Variety of shops, cafes, bars and traditional pubs. Many pubs had live music, a choice of at least 5 bands on a Saturday night. Night fort area peaceful and full of friendly squirrels. Lots of different walks.
I Went on the X54 Bus to Durdle door from Weymouth king' statue. I caught the 10:am bus, which also stops outside the prince regent hotel, but you may not get a seat upstairs, if you join the bus here. I liked walking over the bridge to Weymouth north quay area for a beer and some fish n chips at Bennet's chip shop and just leisurely strolling along. One thing I noticed was that there were plenty of free toilets,
An ideal resort especially for those wishing a relaxed holiday. I did find excursions on sea were quite expensive. Plenty of places to eat, the Old Rooms being my particular favourite. The two Wetherspoon pubs provide great value dining especially for families on a budget. As Weymouth is quite flat it is very easy to get around on foot. Excellent bus services to nearby resorts.
Sandcastle world and sealife centre is a definite must, also Portland bill to see the lighthouse, if you like nature and long walks brownsea island in Poole is a must, you get there by boat, Weymouth harbour is just beautiful, the beach is so clean with clean clear water. Nice town and shops. Monkey world is worth a visit, you get to go on an open top bus, great holiday away for adults and children great places to eat, very easy to get around.
Tired, dated city centre which has poor parking and transport links. The beach was rammed and full of litter. Lots of homeless and drunks throughout the day. Lots of antisocial behaviour with constant screaming and shouting right outside the hotel we was unfortunate to stay in.
Beautiful, friendly, flat, Blue Flag traditional beach resort with iconic old working harbour. Superb walking, shopping, restaurants, views, boat trips - and the best fresh fish & chips. Love it!!💖
Weymouth
This is a high quality boutique B&B hotel of an exceptional standard. The breakfast was something else! Diffeent home made flavour sorbet every morning! The room was superb and the view of the sea and the dawn breaking was spectacular. ( On a lovely sunny day you could almost be in Nice!). You could hear the waves breaking on the shore from your room. So soothing. The hosts went the extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble. The location is also perfect. This is a gem of a place in Weymouth.
Weymouth
Really nice place and great value. Hosts were amazing and always made sure we had everything we needed. They're really putting their heart and soul into making sure that their guests enjoy their stay (it wasn't only us). The place was kept tidy, super clean and safe. Served really nice full English breakfast. Excellent location, a 5 minute walk from the Weymouth beach. Absolutely recommend it, if you're looking for a place in Weymouth.
Weymouth
Everything was spotless. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Tracy and Mark were very good hosts providing us with lockable storage for our bicycles. The room was small but adequate and had been advertised as a small double which was fine, certainly no complaints. The hotel is close to the centre of Weymouth but in a quiet side road and, being at the eastern end of Weymouth made Bowleaze Cove a very pleasant walk.
Weymouth
Maria is a wonderful host who keeps a spotless guesthouse and ensures breakfast is to your liking and is willing to give advice on what to do in and around Weymouth. With parking at a premium in the area Maria ensures that with a little help from her guests everyone’s cars can be accommodated on site. Situated at the west end of the promenade there are enjoyable strolls up to the town or along the beach to Bowleaze.
Weymouth
The room had a sea view which was on a main road. The breakfasts were excellent and the deluxe scrambled egg was to die for. We enjoyed our stay very much, and hope to come again sometime. Weymouth is a beautiful town with lots of history. There are some very peaceful walks, and I loved all the Georgian architecture. There was a parking place at the back and at times you could park in front of the guest house.
Weymouth
Had a great 3 night stay at The Lugger. It’s great if you’re heading in Weymouth as it’s only 5 mins away. The staff were great, Liam was especially helpful. Unfortunately as they’ve recently done renovations the kitchen wasn’t quite open yet so I can’t comment on the food but overall would recommend staying here.

Fantastic place, right on the sea front, and only about 10 mins walk into the main town area. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice of foods, all freshly prepared. Marion and Graham were great hosts, nothing too much trouble. Weymouth is a great place to visit and would definitely recommend the Beach House.
