Our 3 weeks at Loughview were so enjoyable, like home from home. Orla and Steve were wonderful hosts, and we had a welcome each day from adorable Luna. Leaving Loughview on our last morning was like saying goodbye to family. Bangor is a long way from Perth WA but some day if we return we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else other than Loughview. Thanks Orla & Steve for wonderful memories. Ann & John

We had such a lovely stay here! The room was absolutely gorgeous and massive, with a really nice bathroom with a large shower. Everything was in perfect condition and it was just so beautiful, I was amazed by the luxury for this price. Kettle, fridge and hairdryer were available in the room. TV had many channels and Netflix available. Breakfast was delicious. The bar next door has a small dinner menu but upstairs there is a restaurant where we had an amazing dinner, definitely recommended! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and we could leave our luggage after checkout in a safe spot so we could go explore the castle.

The character of the house, its position overlooking the sea and the complete peace at night. We asked for an early breakfast on Sunday morning and it was served exactly on time and very cheerfully.

Friendly small pretty village with great train link to Belfast. The Whiteclffe pub serves quality meals, the Marine pub is great for live music. Not great for a family beach holiday as water access is limited.

Small seaside town with great train links to Belfast.

Small seaside town with great train links to Belfast. Visit the Whitehead Railway Museum for an excellent guided tour and cafe. Another good cafe is Coastal Coffee near the railway station. A great base to visit Causeway Coast and Antrim Glens plus do a Gobbins path tour (pre book is essential)

A wonderful, peaceful and relaxing location.

A wonderful, peaceful and relaxing location. The accommodation was perfect everything you needed. Whitehead is a victorian town still has alot of the authentic feel. Lovely cafes and The Whitecliff Inn is very welcoming and has fab food. The Blackhead walk is amazing 4km long. Didn't get to go on the coastal train which goes up and down the coast as we had a car but looked great!

The Lighthouse Loft offers a rather unique opportunity to enjoy the lovely town of Whitehead with its many cafés and easy access to spectacular walks along the coast. Access to both airports (City and the International) is easy and the local train offers quick journeys to Belfast and Larne. Islandmagee in the vicinity is a must to explore with its many beaches and coves.
