The room was spacious enough. The main advantage is the airport's nearness. I could drop my bag and return for the hand luggage

Excellent boutique hotel with lots of atmosphere and wonderful staff. Breakfast was over the top, rooms are small but well appointed. Could use somewhere to put luggage.

The room was awful we booked a double room when we arrived there were 2 single beds. We told reception who said they would sort it. All they did was push the 2 beds together. Very lumpy and very uncomfortable.
The hot tap didn't work the shower was a drizzle, cracked floor tiles, dirty disgusting and disgraceful. We have plenty of photos to back this up. We were looking for a bin to put our rubbish in, we found a tiny little thing that fitted 1 small empty bottle of water. The wardrobe was that inadequate it couldn't fit a normal size hanger in it and we had to share it with the ironing board. The lift was dirty disgusting.
When we went for breakfast the following morning every tray was empty there was no bread no orange and no hot water, after waiting for 5 minutes we had to look for a member of staff who apologised and eventually everything was filled. Would I book this hotel again No Would I recommend this hotel No. Star rating -1

The hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment, a process which has begun in the lobby area by the looks of things. The first floor area and bedroom carpets need replacing; in any case looked like they could do with a good vacuuming on a regular basis; didn't see any been used there except for the lobby. Breakfast was ok and reception was ok. Car park again is badly in need of being resurfaced. Perhaps this will be a future phase of the on-going refurbishment. My guess is that the hotel has suffered from the effects of lack of funds due to COVID and for that the management may not be entirely responsible and are coping as best they can.

Widnes is not a tourist destination.
Widnes is not a tourist destination. Most visitors are there for business or to visit family/friends. There are some interesting museums in Widnes/Runcorn and it is a good jumping-off point for locations in Cheshire, Liverpool and North Wales.

Widnes is not a holiday resort, it’s a place to go on business, to break up a longer journey or visit family, which was the reason for my visit.
We did eat in the hotel restaurant; it was fine although service a little slow on our first night.
Traveling around Widnes can be tricky if you don’t know where your going (lots of road changes/development). If for any reason you plan to cross the river Mersey on the new Mersey Flow Bridge you need to pay up front online. Type in ‘ ‘MERSEY FLOW’
There are some nice walks and great views of the bridges at West Bank area.

The property has all the amenities needed to comfortably spend a few nights. Ideal if you have got a car, as it’s got its own private driveway and it’s a quick drive to both Liverpool and Manchester. The host was very kind and thorough. A big plus was how clean the property was, including all the towels and bed linen which is something very uncommon in many accommodations across the UK. Will definitely stay again if travelling to the area again. A few food items made available by the host for breakfast were a nice plus.
That it was clean and it had everything you needed for a long weekend away. The staff were on the ball to help
With any needs, instruction was clear and simple. We will be using more places like this in the future instead of hotels.
