This is our second stay at the Elm Tree Inn whilst meeting friends who camp locally. Bedroom very clean and bed very comfy. Spotless en suite with toiletries provided. Can't comment on the breakfast or food as we didn't eat in the pub, but looks very good. Plenty of free parking

Everything. Lee greeted me warmly and happily stowed my bicycle in the garage. And I got to test drive his three wheeler—fun! Room was big and spotless and comfortable. Nice snacks and cold water in the fridge—great for a cyclist on a hot day! Great shower. Lee made a bang up breakfast! First rate. Will definitely stay again when cycling these parts. The flat was the perfect size for me, providing comfy accommodations as a base for exploring East Anglia locations of interest during the week I stayed there. The place is clean, the hosts are friendly, and all I needed was provided. The grooms are cute, and it is surprisingly quiet at night, when farming traffic is finished on the road. Plenty quiet to hear the morning bird songs!

The Town centre is full of drunks on benches at all hours of...

The Town centre is full of drunks on benches at all hours of the day. There are reports of high crime compared to other towns in Cambridgeshire. It has a number of things to see such as the Wisbech and Fenland Museum, Peckover House, Elgood's Brewery and Gardens(open every Thursday) and Octavia Hill's birthplace, who was one of the founders of the National Trust.

Wisbech is very run down and generally unpleasant in my opinion. I went there for an event which was good, but if you have no prior reason to visit, I would recommend giving it a miss. I’ve added no photos cos I took none. The castle and church are fine buildings, as are some of the run down buildings. On Saturday lunchtime there was a group of Eastern European men drinking beer and openly urinating in the churchyard, it didn’t get much better in the town area.

We enjoyed the museum and there is beautiful planting around...

We enjoyed the museum and there is beautiful planting around the church. BUT open drug dealing on the street, no police evident by cars parked everywhere, on the pavements, all along double yellow lines. We were advised by hotel receptionist not to go out at night and the car park and hotel are locked and secured at 9pm. Very run down a lots of empty shops and litter.

I like the new developed houses

I like the new developed houses Loads of parking places and not paid for parking at all Environmental friendly no pollution It is not easy to get around Wisbech as taxis are pre booked in advance. Our journey did not allow us to book in advance. Will like to see public transport available regularly like every 10 to 15 minutes

I didn't stay in Wisbech too long as I was travelling...

I didn't stay in Wisbech too long as I was travelling through. But what I did see was a a town centre with lots of boarded up shops and on the outskirts a new out of town development with supermarkets, cinema, Costa Coffee, B & Q etc which is killing the town centre. This is a problem affecting most city centres in the UK

All photo looks so great, that we decide to visit. We found free car parking next to church. Then we went to see area. When we went through little park next to church, we start worried. We pass group of young people drinking beer, then teenagers around 13-14 years smoking weed, then older people already drunk. And another group of drunk people. We run back to car as we start be scary of safety, and it wasn't pleasure to enjoy any view. I think town council really need to look into that as could be nice tourist spot.

Lovely location in the Norfolk countryside, outside of the main Wisbech town but close enough for easy access. The guest house was clean and comfortable, the shower in particular was excellent. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, as well as access to a well equipped large shared kitchen were very useful. Overall a pleasant stay.
