Very spacious rooms and public areas. Tasty breakfast. Nice spa area. Plenty of easy access parking. Super views of the Malvern hills. Pretty terrace. A relaxing place to stay.
With views over the river, this riverside hotel is a 5-minute walk from Worcester city center, and a 2-minute walk from the Royal Worcester Porcelain Museum and the cathedral.

The hotel staff is very friendly and forthcoming. They have parking in the rear of the building.
The place is nicely located next to a cafe with patio, strong brew and charming banter.

The location by the river and very close to the town centre and historic sites
The room was very comfortable with nice big beds. Not large and two chairs would have been nice but just not room.
The breakfasts were wonderful and service very nice. Our one evening meal was outstanding but restaurant very noisy and crowded as it was Tuesday with 50% off.
However the staff coped so well and we did not wait too long at all. Very enjoyable.

The owner is accommodating and kind. The hotel is of a very high standard. It is stylish and chic.
We slept very well as the location is very quiet and there is good soundproofing.
It's very close to the train station/taxi rank, shops cafes and restaurants, and there's a small Tesco just around the corner which is open late.
It was brilliant to have a fridge and kitchen area, dining table and sofa, what more could you need for a very comfortable stay.
The wood garden is simply stunning and beautifully designed. Enjoyed a coffee there in the sun!
We would definitely return next time we're in Worcester!

The food in the restaurant was good in the evening and breakfast was super - especially the poached eggs! Being a Greene King pub, the beer was well kept too. The staff were friendly and the service was great. A stone's throw from the cathedral and a short walk to the river, the hotel couldn't have had a better location.

Worcester is an attractive cathedral city with some beautiful buildings. Although the centre is a little mixed in terms of its demographic, there are some good independent shops, bars and restaurants. The riverside walk is very pleasant. Worcester makes a good base for exploring the surrounding area with the Malverns and some excellent NT and English Heritage properties within easy reach.

I enjoyed walking around the town seeing how much it had changed in the past 45 years. The cathedral was very interesting and worth visiting. The riverside has been improved.
I didn't get a reply from the swimming pool. so cannot recommend it.
Wide range of shops in the town centre, with many coffee and tea emporiums. Not that many charity shops which can afflict many town centres these days.
Not sure how I might have faired on a cold wet day however.

There are not enough benches for the elderly or infirm.
There are not enough benches for the elderly or infirm. There are lots of interesting shops but sadly not enough places to sit and it is too expensive to keep having coffees!Greggs is handy but again have to eat standing up.M&S is disgusting the way it treats the elderly or disabled and it will be easy to make an effort not to shop there when you cannot take a little rest when you are spending money. Even the
assistant think it is poor
WORCESTER is an interesting city with lovely buildings and lots to see.Sadly some of the museums have not used the potential of very interesting history or comfort for visitors

Although the planners have allowed some unattractive new buildings there are many very pretty old streets and the Guildhall and Cathedral are highlights as is the walk along the river. We did a walking tour with a guide from the tourist office and that is thoroughly recommended, with much information about its role during the Civil War. There are numerous restaurants. We ate at the Olive Tree where we had a very good paella.

We loved the historical attractions and some of the architecture. Sadly there seems to be a lack of decent modernisation. There were a lot of street drinkers, drug takers and statement dogs that definitely has made me think twice about returning
Difficult to be objective. I care a lot for the city of Worcester, and visit when I can. I always try to stay at The Severn View Hotel. Like the old building, the staff are great, the location is perfect, very central, right by the river and historic city centre. It has a busy bar, and sometimes the room I get is right above it. But the noise from downstairs ends at a reasonable time. The full English breakfasts are legendary. Looking forward to returning. Superb value for money.
This is the 3rd year I have booked a reunion to stay at the hotel for 15 adults.
Muhammed, and ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and welcoming snd the hotel ideally accommodated us with different seating areas and courtyard.
Within minutes of walking into town. I shall definately rebook again if we return to Worcester and the price of £80 is also very appealing for a twin room.
