Diglis House Hotel, hotel in Worcester

This picturesque riverside hotel is a 5-minute walk from Worcester city center, and a 2-minute walk from the Cathedral and Royal Worcester Porcelain Museum.

Breakfast was very good and the location was perfect . I liked the whole ambience of the place and its historic associations. Loved the restaurant overlooking the river with the swans regularly passing by. Also well located for the Cathedral and the rest of the city.

The city is good with plenty to see and do.

The city is good with plenty to see and do. I spent most time in and around the ancient cathedral but also did a walking tour of the battle of Worcester, and walked out to visit: Worcester Porcelain Museum, the Lee & Perrins Factory, the cricket ground, Gheluvelt Park and an Edward VIII postbox. Walking is easy also the traffic is noisy on some of the main roads. I ate in local restaurants. A particulr favourite is the Charles II pub, near Cornmarket.

Worcester has a lot of character and is worth a visit, but its looking rather run down in some areas. the cathedral and riverside areas are quite attractive and the shopping areas extensive. Quite a lot of car parking, but plan your journey and parking beforehand as the one-way system could catch you out Lots of shops as you might expect, one of the best M&S's we've been in, had coffee and light lunch there but there are plenty of alternatives We parked on the outskirts by the river and walked in, six hours for £4.20 and walked about Five kilometres in total so I think we covered most of the city centre

I went for the Three Choirs Festival of music, 8 days. Busy, but in free time I walked the River Severn's towpath, visited the historic buildings (some converted into cafes), saw the Worcester porcelain museum (really good), and went to Malvern and stunning Pershore Abbey.

We came for the Three Choirs Festival so spent most of our time by or in the cathedral but we also walked along the river, followed some of the Heritage Trail and looked around the shops. It is a very pretty city with lots of historic attractive buildings and streets.

A nice little place to stay in / near Worcester with an excellent cuisine. I strongly recommend having dinner there - both main course and dessert were outstanding, staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Breakfast was also very good. The room is how you'd expect it to be, absolutely fine, spotless clean, but nothing special. The free parking in front of the hotel was convenient. If staying in Worcester, this is a good choice!

Ideal for Worcester and the surrounding area. lovely independent pub-hotel. Quirky! We had a lovely spacious, comfortable room. Breakfast was super and an evening meal with family members most enjoyable. will be staying again when visiting family and friends in the area.
