Located in Worsley in the Greater Manchester region, Worsley Town House has a garden. The accommodations is 30 mi from Chester. I was travelling to attend a funeral in the Manchester area and the reservation was made at short notice. There wasn't a great deal of information about gaining access to the building but I texted the contact and Sam (for it was she) explained that at my stated arrival time, I would be shown my room, given a front door key and then was able to go about my business. The property is a tastefully decorated modern three-story town house on an estate, recently built and in what you would call a 'good' neighbourhood. Sam has a wonderful little Chow dog who is very friendly but looks like a small red and yellow lion.
Ideal location for visiting RHS Gardens Bridgewater. Staff very welcoming, breakfast good , dinner could be a more varied menu especially if staying for more than one night . Room pleasant , a couple of lamps were not working .
Good hotel but be careful when you book. This hotel is popular with sports and football club group bookings and so you may find like we did on our stay the spa and leisure facilities are completely taken up by the group. This makes the cost of the stay of poor value with the lack of access to these facilities.
We normally love it here but disappointed this time. No bar when we returned from our event. The breakfast selection not up to usual standard and poor WiFi. We understand we are in difficult times but we could have been informed that the bar will be closed on our return.
visit RHS Bridgewater Two good Italian restaurants Puccini, Walkden & Vesuvio nearby at Boothstown - must book both but Vesuvio does a take out if pre ordered usually takes about an hour. Old Hall Worsley excellent pub & restaurant food Golf course at Marriott
Worsley has some interesting canal and industrial history to see and experience. The Bridgewater Canal was the one that sparked the "canal age" and fueled Manchester's place in the Industrial Revolution. Also the new RHS Bridgewater gardens are brilliant and well worth the visit. Unfortunately the M60 motorway passes straight over the centre of the Worsley making it impossible to avoid the sound of continuous traffic, although, despite this, the village has managed to maintain much of its character.
Location great. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean and social distancing rules kept to. Didn’t like paper cups in room for tea. Didn’t like plastic glasses in room and too many plastic bottles in bathroom.
It’s a good standard hotel, nit super luxurious but comfortable and quiet. Staff are Fresno efficient. We’ve stayed before and will stay again. It’s very close to the new RHS Bridgewater garden, which is wonderful.
Lovely hotel and surroundings. Staff were very pleasant.
