Well what a difference we have stayed at the kings head several times and I must say it was a bit run down ( cheap and cheerful comes to mind) but now after a full refurbished it is now an excellent place to stay only downside is the rooms are on the small side which with an old building cannot be changed + great location and as always the staff are very helpful and welcoming

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Everyone I encountered was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely accommodating. The room itself was spotless—cozy, clean, and fresh, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. But the real highlight? The bed. It was hands down the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. I woke up each morning feeling completely rested and refreshed. A special shout-out to the manager, Steve, who truly sets the tone for the exceptional service here. He was attentive, kind, and clearly cares about every guest’s experience. His leadership shows in the quality and warmth of the entire team. If you're looking for a place that combines comfort, cleanliness, and top-notch hospitality, this hotel is it. I can’t wait to return!

Grand staff and excellent service. I am very delightful with their exceptional service. Very flexible and supportive. I had my freedom there and did not experience any single difficulties. Very friendly environment even for non-English community. Beautiful, clean, peaceful and calm environment. Food is very tasty and great presentation too. Chef deserves 10/10. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a peaceful vacation. Hope to go back again for sure xxxx Chamila Jayakody from Harwich

The location of the property was spot-on and coastal resorts were within an easy reach but keep away from Norwich. It is a very busy place even though it is a city. There are a lot of roadworks. Blinky Hall estate and National Trust property is a very good day out.

Nice location, lots of water birds visiting the grassy area...

Nice location, lots of water birds visiting the grassy area on the waterfront, unfortunately ducks had left their visiting deposits on the cottage decking which had not been tidied up by housekeeping before our arrival, I did not really come away for a break to have to clean up duck poo from the decking before it could be used! Also the shower was only usable by very small people and the water pressure in the bathroom basin was very low. Nice to sit on the decking and watch the boats and wildlife once I had cleaned it. As far as we could see there was no quick walking route to Wroxham village, we had to take the car to drive through sometimes heavy traffic to pay to park car parking to visit the village amenities. The heavily gravelled driveway around the designated parking areas made it impossible to use my mobility scooter from the cottage .

It’s one of those perfect locations that offers it all. Quite relaxing days sipping a cup of tea by the river or visiting local area. Boat rides can be done from any of the local areas and you would never struggle to find somewhere nice to have a light lunch or just a cup of tea.

Wroxham is in a great position on the river with numerous boat trips and self hire boats available. There is an excellent Department store which was a real surprise. There were no real restaurants but a number of places to eat at a more informal level: pizzeria, fish & chips and a pub as well as a couple of cafes.

The room was lovely, so relaxing with a nice modern bathroom, everything I needed as a stop off before onward travel. A freshen up & a nice cup of tea before heading out for a wander around. Even had some entertainment from a nearby pizza place, near the hotel. I was able to enjoy the guy singing from the comfort of my room. The location is good, right in the middle of Wroxham, & the views are fantastic. The staff were very nice & helpful, & the breakfast with a view set me up for the day
