The Mount Royale Hotel offers 24 bedrooms all with wireless internet, there is also a bar with a coal fire and a restaurant offering locally sourced produce. The hotel is a family run hotel , with excellent customer service, all the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent with a very good choice for breakfast. The room we had was very comfortable but slightly to hot. There was plenty of room and the bed was so comfortable. There was a fridge in the room also an iron and a board, a fan, heater, hairdryer and much more. Very good value for money, highly recommend. It is also idealy suited to walk into the town. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Spa.

The Minster Hotel offers cooked breakfasts, free WiFi and elegant rooms. It was clean, well located, and the breakfast was amazing. All staff were friendly and helpful. I felt safe at all times. There were social distancing measures in place and hand sanitizer across the hallways. Payment and requests were handled remotely to minimise risks of infection. I recommend this hotel to everyone visiting York.

The 5-star Grand Hotel & Spa offers stylish rooms and a luxury vaulted spa. The location of this hotel is brilliant. Few minutes walk from the rail station (I just walked with my bag), yet just a short walk to York center. The stairs onto the famous York walls (at least one of the sections) are just across the road. The building is charming, both from the outside and from the inside. I loved every single bit of it. There is an elevator but the stairs are so beautiful that I preferred to climb them every time. I booked Executive room and it was absolutely amazing. The room was very spacious ,with large windows. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and very well planed. It seems that a lot of thought was put in the design, taking into account the little things: places to put things, lighting options (including closet light), various products (including mouth wash), two types of curtains on bathroom window and so on. This was one of the most comfortable rooms I ever stayed in. The staff was warm and welcoming, especially the gentlemen at the door and the cleaning team.

Es una ciudad medieval muy bonita, creo que dicen que es una de las ciudades mas visitadas de Inglaterra después de Londres. tiene una zona de calles estrechas The Shambels, por las que da gusto pasear, la oferta gastronómica es abundante i es muy fácil moverse por la ciudad. Magnifica catedral
Una ciudad muy recomendable y cargada de historia. La catedral es excepcional. Muy recomendable una paseo por las murallas y por sus calles, algunas muy auténticas como "The Shambles". También interesante el museo del ferrocarril, es gratuito y vale la pena dar un vistazo a la colección de trenes. No pudimos visitar el museo vikingo ja que estaba en obras, pero parece muy interesante. En los alrededores hay muchos pueblos y sitios interesantes a visitar.
York está molt bé per a passar uns dies a l'estiu. Molt turístic, molts llocs on menjar, coses molt xules a veure, com la York Minster, les muralles, el Castle Museum. Altres llocs un poc cars pe que oferien, com per exemple la torre Cliford.
La catedral. Alguns carrers. L'ambient a l'hora de dinar. Dinar per ahi, a les paradetes. Sopar a restaurants hindús ,!pizzeries...l qualitat del menjar anglés deixa molt que desitjar . És molt fàcil moure's caminant
Es una ciudad con mucha historia a sus espaldas, muy alegre y muy completa en servicios para el viajero . La catedral gótica es la más grande de Europa. Sus calles del centro histórico con casas antiguas muy bien conservadas (aunque con mucho comercio turístico) son de paseo obligado. Vale la pena también hacer el recorrido por encima de las murallas que rodean la ciudad. Es muy agradable. Y el museo York Castle Museum vale la pena pagarlo. El museo del ferrocarril tiene bastantes vagones históricos, aunque le falta algo más de vida. Los jardines del Museum Gardens en día sin lluvia, son muy bonitos y tienen mucha actividad cultural. Los empleados del centro de Información y Turismo son muy atentos. Es una ciudad para hacerla a pie

Situat una mica a les afores, per tant hi ha tranquilitat. En 15-20 minuts caminant estàs al centre. Lloc per aparcar (pagant molt poc al dia). El Wifi arriba a l'habitació. Pack de benvinguda amb información sobre la ciutat.
Tens un supermercat a sota mateix. L'apartament està molt a prop del centre, pots anar a peu a tot arreu. Està tot nou i molt ben arreglat. Els dos banys són perfectes!
Personal amable. Llits còmodes. Lavabo net i espaiòs. Esmorzar anglès acabat de fer. A 20 minuts caminant del centre. Pàrquing inclòs.
La habitació es preciosa, millor que a les fotografies. Ubicació estupenda per passejar pel centre de York i el servei genial.

The hotel is an hidden gem only 15 minutes walk from the centre of York. The interiors are unbelievable. The hall, the bar and the dining room with the allure of an old and magnificent Manor and the rooms with a quirky yet modern design. The room was clean and of the right size for a one night stay (would have easily have stayed there a couple of nights tho) and it had everything you could ask for. I highly recommend having breakfast in their dining room as it's one of the best breakfasts I've ever had on UK soil. The hot breakfast choices (from full English to avocado on toast) are beautifully cooked and the buffet provided you with everything you may want for your continental breakfast including a selection of lovely pastries, cereals and yoghurts and several choices of juices. Mark, one of our waiters in the brekkie room, was an absolute sweetheart and after my other half commented that the hash browns were so good he could have had one more, he went out of his way to make sure another one arrived at our table before we left to check out. Outstanding service through and through and we would definitely be back here on our next visit to York!

Hosts were fantastic and the room itself couldn't have been better with beautiful facilities, fantastically stocked and clean. We had a fantastic stay in the most perfect picturesque location with something to do at every turn.

Nice cosy rooms ,with the heat of late ,it was a lovely bonus to have a fan in the room , we definitely needed it . Friendly staff ,clean rooms ,was all you needed to be a comfortable ,enjoyable stay .
