We loved our stay at Khulo Inn, we have been so warmly welcomed by our hosts, Dakhil and his wife. Rooms are very well equipped, clean, comfortable and with a beautiful view over the mountain. We had a fantastic dinner cooked by our hosts and the breakfast, including one of the best Kachapuri we have ever had.

Location is very good, the view on the terrace is stunning. It is not far from the main square, the town and the cable car to Tago. Washing facility was very handy when my husband and I ran out of clothes to wear; it was free to use. Food - breakfast is delicious (however, it would be nice if there is a variety of egg dishes e.g. fried, poach or omelettes instead of always boiled). We stayed longer so having boiled eggs everyday became tedious. The hosts - amazing, kind and very hospitable people. I could not have faulted them. Khatuna, Mindi and Mama were simply beautiful people. I love that they allowed me to pick some plums and pears in their gardens. Mama, especially, picked some for me. Supper - we paid 30 GEL per person and the food was superb and excellent value for money! The salad and vegetables are from their garden, so they taste so fresh and delicious. I totally recommend this place to everyone. If we ever come back to this part of the world, we will definitely stay here again.

We had a great time here. The position is simply amazing, but the real highlight of the house is Iya and her family, who made us felt like we were at home. The host of the house baked a cake for our arrival and prepared home-made treats as a present. We were very pleased and unexpected to receive such hospitality. Great hosts and awesome place! Everything is perfect: the place, common area, clean bedroom, facilities. In the kitchen you find everything you need. The apartment is very cozy, with its fireplace and views to the mountains, and all was extremely clean and comfortable. We are definitely going to come back to stay a bit longer. We strongly recommend this accomodation!

Your review of Khulo Khulo is one of those places where you go to disconnect and accidentally remember what quiet feels like. Surrounded by mountains and greenery, it’s less about ticking attractions and more about slowing down and taking in the views. Favorite spots Kotajvari Viewpoint in Chao is easily one of the highlights — wide, open mountain views that feel almost unreal, especially around sunset. It’s the kind of place where you just stand there longer than you planned. Where to eat Small local guesthouses are the best option. Homemade Adjarian dishes, fresh ingredients, and portions that assume you haven’t eaten in days. Simple, but seriously good. Getting around Getting around Khulo isn’t complicated, but it’s not “city easy” either. Distances are short, but roads can be winding, so having a car or arranging local transport makes everything smoother. Fun activities for solo travelers Perfect place for hiking, exploring nearby villages, and just wandering without a plan. Sitting with a coffee or a glass of wine and enjoying the mountain views counts as an activity here — and honestly, it’s one of the best ones.

Not much to see in the town, but it's a good base for...

Not much to see in the town, but it's a good base for exploring upper Adjara. We were there in March, which had snow and rain, so perhaps it's more charming in the summer months. Plenty of basic services in town as well.

Khulo is amazing place to wander around the town in the...

Khulo is amazing place to wander around the town in the nature. You may find breath-taking mountain views, cozy small mountain lakes, powerful waterfalls. And you don't have to go far away from the city to join the nature. Unfortunately, this year (2024) one of the sightseeing - cableway, it not working because of technical troubles. But still you may find plenty of hiking routes to visit to.

the road to the ski resort was bumpy and no enough road...

the road to the ski resort was bumpy and no enough road signs, but the hotel was really helpful at so many things, they did all the could to provide us our needs, especially with the sudden antibiotics medication for my child and the steel for the tires, since our car is not snow proof. Although the ski season is not yet opened, but the scenery was really good after the snow fell. The hotel could improve the pillow and also do something about the barking dogs at night. Overall, the hotel location for the ski site and cable car is perfect. I really recommend this hotel.
