This hotel / homestay in Mazeri, Georgia, completely blew me away! The location is absolutely breathtaking, nestled with jaw-dropping views of Caucasus Mountains that left me speechless. The spotlessly clean rooms come wiht private bathroom and a balcony, the beds are comfortable. We could see peak Mazeri from our window. The on-site cafe was serving delicious, hearty homemade food. The owners were attentive and made us feel right at home. The fire pit area was the perfect spot to soak in the stunning mountain views. Hands-down, this was the best days I spent in Svaneti, and I can’t recommend this place enough!

We’ve been received by Maia, an extraordinary host. The location, even that is out of Mestia City, is breathtaking. We have a very good breakfast , the room was with mountains view and access to a huge terrace with 360 degrees views. The owner, Anne, is hardworking to make improvements in every corner. I loved the mountains which surround the town.

I loved the mountains which surround the town. The town itself is a jewel which is preserved architecturally. Hard to explain, but Mestia is a very special place. Don't forget to visit the village of Ushguli nearby. Mestia has a phenomenal museum of religious art with outstanding early icons and manuscripts from the region Svaneti.

During winter be careful; roads are slippery , 4x4 is a must if you rent a car. Don't worry about road closures. There are very limited restaurants during winter , they have only few money exchanges, which is always closed. , very limited ski rental shops

Safe village with rich Svaneti Historical museum.

Safe village with rich Svaneti Historical museum. Worth to visit Laghami church as well. In the country, which is famous for wines, visiting local beer brewery "Setieli" might be an exotic adventure and fun. Favourite place to eat Lanchvali restaurant, if too tired to get up to the hill, "Lushnu Our" might be the second choise, although too crowdy. Cable car get you up to Zuruldi masiff. Mestia is great location for those who enjoy one day trecking and walks.

We really liked Mestia surrounded by magnificent mountains.

We really liked Mestia surrounded by magnificent mountains. It's a small cozy town. Wooden and stone buildings perfectly complement the mountain scenery. As for food, for a small town there is a good choice of restaurants, cafes, and there are also small grocery stores. We mostly went hiking near Mestia and got a lot of positive impressions, enjoying the amazing scenery.

Mestia is an excellent starting point for the Svaneti region. Although practically a large village - it has many facilities for travelers and tourists. If you want to understand this region - do start with Mestia!

One of the most beautiful places in the world - amazing...

One of the most beautiful places in the world - amazing views, pristine nature, ancient unique history and culture, a lot of interesting beautiful places around, so many activities in the place and in around villages (fishing, horse, car or bicycle rental, hiking, visiting museums, restaurants including with a live music, sauna etc.) And again really adorable views at first.

Our stay was very nice and we were happy to choose that hotel. The staff was very helpful - we needed to get a transport to the Cross over Mestia (on the way to Koruldi Lakes) and they organised it for us which was very nice. Definitely the best thing about our stay was breakfast! There is a big choice of food, you can eat very well also when you're vegetarian.

The best stay we had in Georgia. Salome and her family are just fantastic. The guesthouse is super confortable and the food amazing (breakfast and dinner) I would recommend to anyone to stay here. Spotless and spacious room with a big balcony with beautiful view of the towers and mountain. Everything is done with good taste. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff. One of the best hotels we stayed in Georgia.
