Room is clean and comfortable. It is a traditional building which runs by a family. They are really nice and helpful. They can prepare georian dinner and breakfast as request with reasonable price. They can also offer day tour such as horse riding, and transportation to/from Mestia. It is worth to spend a night to stay in Ushguli rather than half day tour. They have many rooms so it's good for group of friends or a big family.

Amazing to be able to stay in a 12th century house in the middle of the unesco world heritage site. Felt transported back in time. But that isn’t the highlight at this amazing spot. The family was incredible. So welcoming and professional and warm. The mom cooked with heart and the results were delicious and plentiful. The kids were great at English and fun to chat to to learn about life in this area. The dad is a carpenter and dedicated to preserving local history. He can also drive you back to mestia. A highlight on our trek from mestia to ushguli for sure.

Nice location and exceptional views from all of the windows. The chalet was clean, cosy and comfortable to stay for 4 people. The house has one of the best facilities in Ushguli.

The host speaks fluent English. She is very nice, polite and helpful. The room is clean and tidy, and the most important is that there is a heater in our room which saves us when the temperature dropped abruptly during our stay. There are two shared bathrooms. Food is plentiful, actually more than we can eat even after a day of hiking.

Ushguli is a wonderful city with its stunning nature and historical beauty, perfect for resting after long trekking and hiking adventures. Tamar Castle is a must-visit spot. Located at the upper part of the city, it’s reached via a scenic path intertwined with a dried-up riverbed. The view of the city from the castle is breathtaking. Additionally, vibrant wildflowers along the mountains add a colorful charm to the city’s atmosphere. After a 6-day hike, we arranged a taxi back to Mestia with help from the facility where we stayed. It’s also easy to find many taxi drivers in the city square.

Ushguli is uniquely beautiful. A one-of-a-kind location.

Ushguli is uniquely beautiful. A one-of-a-kind location. Quite simply a dream. It deserves time spent here. More than a day trip. You can hike. You can sit and soak up the unforgettable views. Wandering through Ushguli is like stepping back in time. We stayed for two nights and it was quite simply one of the top highlights of our travels to date. Our mistake: not staying longer.

Authentic beautiful mountain village. Definitely recommend.

Authentic beautiful mountain village. Definitely recommend. But it is cheaper to get there then to return from it to Mestia. You can go hiking to Shkhara glacier by foot or take a horse for half a way.
