The city is perfect if you just want to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Especially in the evening there are many restaurants where you can enjoy a very good meal and drinks for approx 55 eur (3 pers) Very important: follow that they bring to the table everything that you’ve ordered because they may miss to bring but then they will put it on your bill. It happened to me in Masa Soura - they realised the mistake (that the’ve made me pay for something that never arived at the table) but said they will fix it next time I came. Still, when I returned 2 days later, even though I reminded them, they pretended not to understand. Lovely city with lots of things to do. Great for a vacation and for enjoying Greek cuisine. :) I love that after 20:00 they are closing one main street and it gets crowded with people and nice restaurants. I love Alexandroupolis.
I love Alexandroupolis. I have been visiting since I was a child. We always had so much fun with family and friends. The beaches in Agia Paraskevi are beautiful. It’s a great city for families. It has great shops and great eateries. The people are very friendly! Alexandroupolis is easy to navigate on foot. There is bus service to all the beaches. Some great eateries are Zourafa, Yialos, and Sarikas known for their good seafood., Kokoraki for the best chicken souvlaki or gyro sandwiches. All the cafes are great! Flisvos cafe has great loukoumades. Kerouac is a cafe but also serves a great brunch!

They did say that even if the room was not ready that there was a place to leave luggage. The location is very close to the harbor and I was able to walk to the ferry in the morning. It is also very central to the main streets and sites of Alexandroupolis.
