This is a great Hotel. The facilities, the location and the team were all fantastic. Georgina at the reception was wonderful and helpful. We were also given complimentary wine on arrival. The housekeeping team was so sweet. They left us little notes and candies every time they cleaned the room. The hotel is close to the Omonia metro station which is great.

it was perfect in every sense; very clean, tidy, organized, staff were very friendly and helpful. I couldn't say anything negative. I never saw a property this much clean and staff was always smiling and making every possible thing for us to have a good experience in Athens. Their gesture was so nice as well.

This was the final hotel we stayed in on our Greek holiday. When we arrived we were bowled over by the place - very trendy and high tech and with super-friendly and attentive staff. The rooms were compact but exceptionally well designed and very very modern, so didnt feel small at all (we had 2-bed and a 3-bed rooms). Rooftop bar and pool was excellent with stunning views of Athens and the Acropolis. Breakfast was excellent - loads of options, and more than enough choice for everyone. Location was great - 5-10 minutes walk to central shipping area.

This boutique hotel was in a great location, we could walk everywhere from here. We stayed 4 nights and it was the perfect spot for us. Our room, the bed, the bathroom were very comfortable. The breakfast room was lovely and the breakfast was excellent (buffet choices and cooked to order included). The staff is extremely nice and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here (and we're a bit on the fussy side😆😆).

We stayed at The Modernist Athens for our last night in the city, and it was such a beautiful experience. The hotel has a very modern style design, and everything felt clean, classy, and stylish. Our Large Room was spacious and came with two balconies – such a treat! The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the AC kept the room perfectly cool (very fast as well). I enjoyed the views from our balcony. The location is fantastic – right next to a lovely park, close to several embassies, boutiques, restaurants, and cafe’s. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful – a great way to start the day. The shower and bathroom in general was perfect and overall, the stay felt like a chic little retreat in the heart of Athens. It was honestly the perfect way to wrap up our two-week trip in Greece. All in all, though, it was a stylish, and comfortable stay – I’d happily return!

Dynamic City With 3400 Years of History

With the Acropolis as the jewel in the archaeological crown of Athens, this city is full of history while embracing the future. Take a stroll back in time through the neoclassical streets of the Plaka, where you'll find tavernas serving tantalizing souvlaki and mousaka, street vendors and live entertainment.

A trip to the Parthenon and the Agora top most lists and can also be appreciated from a distance by walking along the Dionysiou Aeropagitou street, which is away from the busy crowds of the city center.

The changing of the guard occurs every hour on the famous Syntagma Square. From here, Ermou Street provides shopaholics with a fashionable retail sanctuary. The upscale districts Kolonaki and Kifisia are also bursting with fancy boutiques, galleries and bars.

Athens has some of the finest museums in the world, such as the National Archaeological, Acropolis and Benaki Museums. From Athens International Airport to the Port of Piraeus, this is a city bustling with the old and new. On Booking.com you can find everything from modern hotels to a room in a classical building.

Cigarette smoke lingers in the air, marble thoroughfares can be slippery, particularly when damp. We found little choice of European food outlets in the city of sixteen million people. In our experience, Locals presented generally as quite dower and non-smiling when approached.

Athens was an amazing experience from start to finish.

Athens was an amazing experience from start to finish. We truly enjoyed everything about the city—the history, the atmosphere, and the friendliness of the people. During our stay, we had the chance to explore beyond Athens, including a wonderful trip to Corinth, a visit to the stunning Temple of Poseidon with its breathtaking views, and a memorable day on Aegina Island. Each place added something special to our trip and made the experience even more unforgettable. Getting around the city was easy thanks to the metro system, which was convenient and efficient. We also loved visiting different places to eat—there was always something delicious to try, and the local cuisine never disappointed. Athens is a city full of history, beauty, and great energy. We leave with wonderful memories and would happily return in the future. Highly recommended!

This was my second visit to Athens, and the city has changed considerably since my previous trip in 2005. While the authorities have attempted to improve popular attractions like the Acropolis—through paved walkways and organized access—these modifications have made them feel less welcoming and more commercialized.

Athens is an absolutely unique place for me — my place on...

Athens is an absolutely unique place for me — my place on earth, full of history, energy, and an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. The city is wonderfully compact, which makes it perfect for exploring on foot. All the major attractions are close to one another: the Acropolis, the Ancient Agora, the Roman Agora, and Hadrian’s Library form the heart of ancient Athens. Beyond the famous landmarks, there are corners of the city that have their own special charm. Anafiotika in Plaka, with its white Cycladic-style houses, feels like a tiny island village hidden in the capital. Filopappos Hill offers the best view of the Acropolis, especially at sunset, and from Lycabettus Hill you get an unforgettable 360-degree panorama of the entire city. Athens — especially around Monastiraki — is a fascinating blend of East and West, with a touch of Byzantine character that gives the city its soul. And something that is incredibly important to me: 10–15 years ago, Athens had many stray dogs and cats. Today, they are practically gone. The city has handled this issue in a truly admirable way — there are shelters and little houses for cats, and volunteers who feed and care for them. It’s also much cleaner than it used to be. Athens is clean now — I can hardly believe I’m saying this, but it’s true. This is the cradle of democracy, and a place I return to whenever I can, because nowhere else do I feel as good as I do in Athens.

Athens is, in my opinion, one of the most important cities in Europe due to its immense historical value. Its streets have a special charm, and its people make the experience even more memorable. Walking through the Acropolis is a unique experience that I highly recommend not missing.

Lovely boutique hotel, well located for touring Athens. Hotel parking option was great. We parked the car and walked everywhere! We were welcomed with a delicious cold drink, and by charming staff. The atmosphere us polished and very professional. The breakfast was the best we had in Greece!! And the rooftop bar/ restaurant was fabulous with a gorgeous view of the Acropolis. Our rooms were spacious, nicely furnished with lovely bathrooms. We had no view as we were on lower floors, but there are rooms with a view available.

We stayed for one night after coming to Athens and on the way to northern Greece. The hotel is not far from the airport and is easily accessible if you travel by car (we've rented it). Overall, the prices are rather high for the secluded place. The quality of the room as expected to such standard of the hotel. Nothing surprising.
