The location of the hotel is great! It’s just a few steps from all of the major attractions in town and really close to the harbour.
The hotel is equipped with a nice pool and a decent gym.
The food that is served in the breakfast is fresh and delicious.
Above all, what really stands out is the welcoming and friendly attitude of the staff members, especially Vulla, that improved our staying there much more and even helped us planning our trip there.
Porto Veneziano Hotel enjoys a privileged location on the waterfront of Chania's Old Venetian harbor.

Very nice hotel, with one of the best breakfast options with the possibility of ordering from the menu. Wide variety of coffee. The staff was very nice, helpful. Parking was available behind the hotel. The hotel had a central location in the port, access to the city centre and restaurants. The rooms were clean, we loved that we could blackout the windows. The windows blocked out the noise of nightlife perfectly. We wish we could have stayed in this hotel a bit longer.

The property was charming and the service so lovely. We had a room up a set of winding stairs with a lovely outdoor patio with two lounges overlooking the old harbor. We called ahead as we could not drive into the old area where the property is located but the manager met us on our way in to help with the luggage. She was so helpful with directions and suggestions and also cooked a delicious breakfast in the charming lobby area. We loved this property!

The bay in Chania Town is flat and surrounded with pretty bars, restaurants and shops and has a lovely view of the jetty and lighthouse - a great background for magnificent sunsets.
Behind the bay are numerous winding alleways, (many with steps and inclines, which might make it difficult for some to get around) housing many traditional bars and resaurants.
Having spoken to some of the locals, they say it becomes very busy duing the high seaseon - I was there mid June.

This is a small town where people live, not just a summer resort. There is historical area - old town, local shops, traditional restaurants, lighthouse and port. All this can be seen for a day. The beaches in the town are nice and clean - nice option when you prefer to spend the day in the town. There are quite a lot of places to eat or have drinks around the beach. We spent a few days in Chania but preferred to travel the rest of the days to some of the most famous island beaches. The bus station offers a lot of options to many beaches and it is very convenient.

It is a lively town with so many different activities fir everyone. It is very easy to get around the tien, even if you are not driving. The KTEL bus service is efficient also. We loved the restaurants at Old Town and especially loved the breakfast at Kumba Neo Chora. The staff there were very, very nice. It was mainly crowded with tourists and restaurants of all shorts( also very tourist oriented). In tge restaurants we visitited tge quality of food wasnt as good as expected and theo prices were too high to justify. However the place was nicely built and with great taste. I didnt gave enough time to see tge while place but it would certainly be nice to visit again

Magic Island.
Magic Island. Chania is a really beautiful city, The old town, the lighthouse, the venetian port are simply perfect. IIt's like being part of a painting. During the sunset you can just enjoy and dream.
I wanted a typical Greek hotel close to the beach and all in all an amazing stay! From the room (spacious, sea view and best sunset you’ll see on Crete - boats are coming in the evening crowded with tourists to see the sunset you’ll enjoy on your balcony), to the sounds of the Waves at Night, the breakfast and the super friendly staff! Additionally, you have a great beach in front of your doors and the city in 10 mins walking distance! Will come again
Amazing appartment close to the old town and the harbour, perfect for discovering western Crete. Everything except the beach is in a short walking distance and on saturdays there is a buzzing market right below the appartment. We especially loved the large balcony with a nice view. The owner was easily contactable on WhatsApp for advice and very friendly, it's a shame meeting him didn't work out. Looking forward to returning here! :)
Tastefully decorated boutique hotel, spacious and really comfortable. Very conveniently located on the edge of the old town. Sotiris was so welcoming, helpful and accommodating- he gave us excellent recommendations on where to eat and beautiful places to visit. He is a superb example of Greek hospitality at its best.
This place is in a great location in old town, right near a square with many restaurants and a free concert on our last night there. Walking distance to the beach, bus station and everything you need. Dimitris provided a lot of recommendations on what to do in Chania and Crete which was very helpful!
I felt better here than in a 4 star hotel. I am glad that we chose the apartment at Meryland. Maria was the best!!! I will recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend their holidays in Crete!!
