Chania Town has a good mixture of old and new. There are busy main streets, with supermarkets and cafes, as well as spectacular views in the harbour, and old side streets containing wonderful restaurants. There are enough restaurants to try a new one everyday for a month with plenty to spare.
We liked the harbour, a perfect spot for an early breakfast or a lazy day with coffe and book. The Old Town has a lot of tourist traps but also side streets with amazing handmade souvenirs and restaurants. There was not much to explore, more a relax-at-the-beach-and-restaurants city, still we liked it.
Extremely busy but entertaining with local displays of folk dancing Excellent restaurants seafood and other with high syandatds of qualuu Beautiful harbour and surrounds Friendly locals Value for money
Chania was a gorgeous town, perfect place to relax. The food is great, and the people are lovely. It has beautiful beaches and gorgeous waters to swim in. The public transport is also great and very easy to use. There are plenty of boat trips, I went on a sunset one and it was lovely. We ate at a lot of the restaurants along the harbour, and also had 2 brilliant meals at Colombo’s which is down a little side street.
Great town for a week trip but you must have a car and go around to the fantastic beaches. Kedrodasos was a hidden underrated gem. Gramvoussa is great, Balos and Elafonissi are great to take a few shots for your instagram or your kids but not for adult swimming. Falassarna was the go to beach again and again.
Sparkling life day and night, excellent restaurants with local / traditional meals. The Venetian harbour's surrounding is like a travel in history. Old town around the harbour is full of small shops and cafes, really authentic.

Can't beat the location compared to other places deeper into Old Town, the noise wasn't bad at all. My room, on the first level of the hotel, was small but modern, cozy, and cute. Perfect for a solo traveler. The staff members were very nice, keep in mind this is an extension of the larger hotel across the plaza so someone may have to come to meet you from the other hotel but it only took a quick phone call and they were there in 2 minutes. Overall I had a very relaxing and peaceful stay here and, again you cannot beat the location!
The people! The people! The people! The staff went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed every corner of Crete with their personal experience as natives to Crete. My biggest joy was sharing my experience with Manos to a place or restaurant he recommended. When I come back and tell him how great it was, his excitement seemed as if my happiness was his reward. I’m not really planning on going back to Crete, I’m planning on going back to see Manos, Maroof, Catarina and Miss Kitty and her adorable cat. Ifcalistu Amphitrie Hotel!

everything about this hotel is amazing. the check is was easy and the woman was lovely. the rooms are SO much better then pictures. spacious rooms, amazing shower and cute living room. we were on the ground floor which gave us a lovely patio and we woke up one morning to the cat on our chairs which was so cute! the pool is lovely and there is plenty of room for everyone. however the best thing about this place is the people, both women were so helpful! helping us on getting around Crete nothing was too much trouble!
I wanted a typical Greek hotel close to the beach and all in all an amazing stay! From the room (spacious, sea view and best sunset you’ll see on Crete - boats are coming in the evening crowded with tourists to see the sunset you’ll enjoy on your balcony), to the sounds of the Waves at Night, the breakfast and the super friendly staff! Additionally, you have a great beach in front of your doors and the city in 10 mins walking distance! Will come again

The road leads to the hotel is under construction while we stayed so it was a really unpleasant experience. But I hope they will finish fixing the roads soon. The room is nice with an unique decoration and I like it. The location is in the heart of the Old Town so its convenient too. However, the staff wasnt supportive enough: we needed the code to enter the studio but they didnt give us in advance and we had to call them when arrived to get it.
The apartment looked really new. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Really appreciate the onsite the parking. We stored our luggages with them on the day we checked out, and they let us keep the garage pass until we come back to pick up our luggages just in case we can find street parking. Also it is best to park in the hotel than driving into the old town. The corporate with Mom's for breakfast, which is a really nice restaurant.
Beautiful hotel tastefully decorated in Art Nouveau style. Quiet, large room was exceptional with quality wooden furniture, marble bathroom with window and large shower, and balcony overlooking city park. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was excellent with savory and sweet items and lots of fruit and juices. Staff were helpful and very friendly. Will definitely stay there again as Chania was our favorite spot on Crete.

It was a dream! The hosts were helpful and so sweet. I was picked up from the bus station and given great advice. The boutique hotel is gorgeous! The best honestly felt like I was in a fairy tale. I would go back in a heartbeat! The location is fantastic, you’re in the heart of the old town. I will be back for sure☺️. Thank you to the hotel owners who were so sweet and attentive.
An incredible hotel situated in the heart of the old town of Chania, Crete. The suites have the most beautiful panoramic view of the port and the lighthouse. They are spacey and have everything a visitor could ask for, during his accommodation. We definitely recommend this hotel and we will stay there again. Truly the best hotel in the old city with the best view!
This must be the best 3* hotel in Crete! Great pool with service, lovely staff, hard to beat views of the harbour and sunset. Great food and drinks offered in the rooftop restaurants, service running till 12-1am. Suitable for those who like to be slightly removed from the beaches. Hotel also offers free transfer to and from town of Chania. Highly recommended hotel.

Location was excellent, such a short walk to Old Town. Parking was very easy (we always got a spot right in front of the hotel!) Staff was so friendly and extremely accommodating, helping us find what we needed in town. The room was comfy and spacious. They offer a breakfast for a small fee. We will absolutely stay there again!
