Everything was perfect. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned daily and the food in the hotel restaurant was really very good. For us it was the perfect stay not only because the facilities were great but also because of the great views and hiking trails nearby.

The location was incredible. We booked a balcony room and just sitting on the patio listening to the birds chirping and staring at the cliffs of Meteora was magical. The property is unique, it had a true bed and breakfast feel to it. Big communal lobby for eating breakfast in the morning or lounging later in the afternoon or evening. We paid the extra for breakfast every morning which saved us a ton of time and we were able to get to the monasteries as they opened. The breakfast was adequate, nothing super fancy but worked for us. The room was a bit small so don’t expect to bring tons of giant bags of luggage but it was perfect for two medium size bags and our backpacks. The hotel has character with old charm but modern bathroom, giant comfortable bed, on the soft side, but super comfortable and spacious. The bathroom water pressure was good and we enjoyed our stay in this unique property. The owner and his son are around always it seems and available to help answer any questions about the area and made the stay very pleasant. We were happy we booked in Kastraki versus the busier town of Kalabaka, its small and quaint and close to nature but great restaurants nearby.
