We stayed here one night before heading up towards Loulida for a five night stay and two nights afterwards before leaving the island. We regretted not staying at Hotel Karthea for our entire stay on the island. The facilities are clean, the staff is professional and kind, and the location is excellent.

The property is up on a hill, above the town. It truly feels like a resort—away from everything. The swimming pool is magnificent. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I like that it is a family-run hotel and they care for every detail. The rooms contain all the amenities one would need and the bed was very comfortable. This is a great place for a true getaway. And, only a 15 minute walk to the port, a 15 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to a view of the sunset that beats Oia, completely. Photo attached.

Great location, super close to port and essentials, virtually beach front, beside a chapel on a hill, very idyllic setup, too. Reasonably priced restaurant choices, super helpful and kind staff, and spacious rooms. Would love to stay again at Porto Kea! Breakfast spread is pretty good! Our 2yo never liked orange juice but he couldn't get enough of the orange juice machine.

I liked that the property was close to the port. The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcomed. He arranged for a bottle of Prosecco for my bf bday. The communication between myself and the owner was prompt and fast! Also offering recommendations for food etc.
