Gialova is a lovely little seaside town. The pier and broadwalk offer a lot of choices for food and drink. Elia is a great place to eat. Their food is delicious and the prices are reasobable. Giavlova Cruises is an awesome company that offers trips around Navarino Bay and Gialova lagoon or if you would rather just go fishing you can make arrangements with them. I have known this place for a long time. Amazing natural beauty and good for walking and swimming. Gilaova is expanding at a great rate which makes me sad but means it offers a lot of facilities and places to drink and eat but rather sophisticated instead of simple tavernas. Gialova is definitely worth visiting, clear waters, tasty food, shops, parking, smiley faces. Pylos is really close in case you feel the need to see and learn more. Gialova is an attractive village next to the sea.
Gialova is an attractive village next to the sea. It is not overdeveloped, so it is green and quiet and not too busy in early July. There is a pleasant beach, plenty of restaurants and a few small, general shops. There is a good range of provisions and good quality ice cream at Martins. For more facilities you can drive to Pylos which is about 15 minutes drive away (and a pretty little town). You are close to Voidokilia beach, Nestor's Palace and several waterfalls. The apartment as well as the surrounding complex are beautiful and very well maintained. The apartment is decorated in good taste and is very well equipped including kitchen, sauna, private & public pools, etc. Everything is new and fresh. Our host Zoi was very helpful and friendly and helped with all our questions and requests. The apartment at Thanos Village was on the small side but comfortable very clean and offered the most fantastic views. The pool was wonderful, large, quiet and so clean.
