Unfortunately we did not like Kamena Vourla. It has a feeling of a holiday town from the 70's. Run down and unkempt. Beach needs a clean up. Lots of Restaurants and Cafes and it is very easy to get around on foot. Good access to main Freeway to Athens/Northern Greece, so could be a stop over point for one night.
We were looking for a short time relaxation and we experienced a lovely romance! The place is full of hotels, bars, restaurants, markets. A wide coast available in front. We were relaxing at the balcony hours enjoying plenty of sea-view. A variety of gastronomy goods was available everyday for lunch time. We mostly enjoyed sweets, coffee, cakes of the hotel kitchen. Sooner or later we will be for sure.
We were a party of four who stayed at Spiros' guesthouse in August 2018. Spiros showed us unbelievable hospitality. The type that one would read about in books, but would safely assume to have disappeared in Greece some time before World War ||. Not only was Spiros extremely helful in supplying to us whatever extras we needed for our rooms (e.g. an extra bed), but also volunteered to take us on a sightseeing trip to a nearby Byzantine monastery with some breathtaking views of the gulf. When we had issues with our transfer back to Athens,Spiros again saved saved the day by driving us to the airport himself ( and that's a two hour drive,no less). My niece and I went out with Spiros to a local barhe recommended which was fanrastic and I'm realy lost for words to say how grateful we are to this genuine, charismatic and helpful guy.A Human with a capital H! The accommodation itself was very nice, charming and clean, located two roads back from the main street, which meant not too noisy, yet within 5 min walk from the beach.Spiros' 'right hand' Eleni was just as helpful and friendly as him. In short, this is a great place to stay with great hosts! Tigran (Elena's husband)
Kamena Vourla is a convenient place to stop for the night at the start or end of our holiday elsewhere in Greece. It offers a choice of hotels and places to et and drink. If staying longer the beach and scenery would no doubt be of interest.
Functional costal Town The food for this town really stood out. And Greeks are renowned for fresh honest food!! No where in particular just seemed every shop had so much pride and commitment to local produce in their food. Whether starters entrees mains or desserts or even just walking for a local snack we were not disappointed.
Restaurant with real live music, i.e. for the local townspeople and not just for the tourists. The really negative part - but this goes for almost the whole of Greece - was the smoking in restaurants.
Kamena Vourla
Very cozy, comfy, and cute family-owned small hotel with a nice yard, charming and welcoming environment, nice friendly hosts, very convenient location for travelers - the town of Kamena Vourla is close to the freeway from Athens to Thessaloniki, but far enough away from traffic noise. It is a resort town with a nice beach. The hotel is located on a quiet street with a mountain view and gardens, and it is close to the beach. The studio was very nice and equipped with everything needed.
From the moment we walked through the door, until the moment we left, we felt so welcomed by the owner. He was even kind enough to start breakfast earlier for us, so we could make our ferry! The room was basic, but the most important details were met; the bed was clean and comfortable, the air conditioner was efficient and quiet, and everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was generous and delicious. I would highly recommend the Hotel Dellis!
I loved the warm welcome and the ideal serenity of the hotel and the surroundings. I felt much at home and was also well informed about the amazing things one should do definitely at Kamena Vourla. I visited the nearby cluster of islands by boat from the nearby marina and also the therapiutic springs. There are plenty of great places to dine and enjoy a drink all on foot. I would most definitely return amongst the company of more friends.

Very good hotel! Should have stayed longer, got upgraded to a room with seaview, the hotel is near some excellent places to eat and the beach is ok for a swim, good breakfast, easy to park your car on the street and they also have off-street parking (did not use as it was so easy just parking on the street) good breakfast
Kamena Vourla
Very nice building in absolute harmony with the surrounding environment. The lobby and the area around the pool is huge and privacy is guaranteed even if the hotel is fully booked. There is an athmoshepe of total relax at this place. The staff is very nice and helps a lot about your comfortable stay.
The size of the room was okay, not huge but adequate. The hotel was relatively clean and it was quiet, I will give it that but that’s where the good things about this place stop. Overall, not a great stay.
