Combining views of the azure waters and lush greenery, Occasus Room takes its name from the latin word for ”friendship” and offers tranquil accommodations in the pictueresque Halki.
Booked this place for one night after arriving on the island to find the place we had originally booked was not as described, although we had a short wait for the room to be ready with booking at such short notice we sat at the harbour with a cold drink. The room was not far from the harbour but in a elevated position like lots of the other properties, it was very modern inside and spotlessly clean, it had a full kitchen and a nice bathroom with a walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable, air con worked perfectly, the owners had even left a complementary bottle of wine which was a lovely touch (although we did not drink it )

Great location for watching the activities of the harbour from the apartment balcony. Centrally located and in easy reach of everything but still quiet. Although we did not meet the owner in person communication was excellent and the apartment was extremely clean and well equipped. Thank you again to Dioni for the nice gifts.

Lovely apartment in a quiet position on a beautiful island. A high standard, well finished and the view from the spacious terrace was spectacular. The house was amazing, very well situated and having two terraces with the most spectacular view of the bay and the sea. It was very peacedful.to sit and gaze the blue and listen to the sound of the sea. The rooms were very comfortable the kitchen super equipped and the internet super. Georfe has been an amazing host offering us an upgrade to the upper floor with the view, was always available.to reach and very willing and helpful.to provide us with all info requested. I would definitely recommend it and would happily return to it.
great island, Emporio is the main town and where most people stay. Beaches are easily accessed on foot or by boat taxi. All the tavernas are on the waterfront, We ate twice at Marias, once at Kifi Grill and twice at Magefseis, all served great food served by friendly people. The bakery was great for breakfast. Pondamos beach is about a 15 minute walk, just over the hill. Lovely beach, well managed with Nick`s Taverna, also great food.
Have been waiting a long time to get to Halki based on a friend's recommendation. She is a long time visitor as are a lot of others that we met. Must say at times it felt like an old boys club! There isn't very much to do and if you enjoy walking you need to go in May/early June or late September. We had a slight breeze whilst we were there but it was close to 30 degrees and there is very little shade. Halki is hilly so you are constantly going uphill! The back lanes can be difficult to navigate if you have mobility issues, steps are uneven in places and only some areas have tarmac. We didn't think the food was anything to write home about. It wasn't bad, just not the best we have had in the Greek islands. We loved how quiet the place is and the people are lovely and welcoming. We will definitely return.
the peace and relaxation of the harbour front without the noise of cars was wondeful! everyone was in the 'go slow mode' meaning nothing was rushed or hectic. there were so many differeant tavernas to choose from to eat in and plenty of seating in cafes and pattiseries to spend the time of day in.. Halki is a very clean and rubbish free island. people are very friendly and willing to help whatever your needs. Beautiful walks and cute little beaches to visit. Take the water Taxi to Kania beach and spend a lazy day being waited on the tiny beach
Halki has changed over the last 30 years. There are more bars, tavernas and shops but, because of its unique layout and architecture it remains fundamentally unchanged. It's colourful, quirky, peaceful and beautiful. The ideal place to completely unwind. Not for you if you're into discos and casinos. Not for you if you're frail and can't cope with uneven paths and steps... a delight for the rest of us.
Beautiful harbour with restaurants all around.Small, can walk end to end in 10 minutes.Very quiet.Picturesque cobblestone alleys and steep steps behind.Nice beach 500metres walk away. Can walk 3k to a knights castle along a crazy paved road, then up a steep stepped path.
Halki is the queen of all islands for me, I love it for the peace and tranquillity. No cars, no crowds, no rush to do or see anything. I am happy to spend the day relaxing in the sun ( the weather never disappoints, 28 degrees mid Sept) on one for Halki’s beautiful beaches, Ftenagia is my fave. It’s great for snorkelling as the sea is crystal clear. You can walk or get a boat taxi to the other beaches too. The islands only inhabited village is the port of Nimborio which is very pretty with pastel painted houses and icing sugar towers. The restaurants at the port are wonderful and reasonably priced. I enjoyed Appagio and Remezzo the most. The only hotel on the island, The Aretanassa was great for early evening drinks and the owner was really friendly. I may book a few nights there next year. The main thing I love about Halki is the people of the island, they are so welcoming and friendly. Every villa I have stayed at has been excellent. I really can’t recommend Halki enough. Next time I think I’ll hire a boat and go and check out some more of the island.

The apartment is beautifully decorated with a wonderful terrace overlooking the harbour. The facilities were excellent and we were very impressed with the maid service ( every other day). It is located a 2 minute walk from the tavernas, yet is totally peaceful at night, and 10 minute walks to the town beaches. We loved our time on Halki, it is a great choice if you want a beautiful, authentic and relaxing stay.

The house is located in the heart of Halki only a couple minutes away from the port, the local tavernas and the beach. It is a beautiful and spacious accommodation with a lovely terrace which will give you a mesmerising view of the bay. Mrs Amalia is a great hostess always prompt to assist with anything you might need and there to make sure you have an unforgettable experience.

Jimmy was extremely accommodating and very friendly. He helped us a lot with his advises to make the best out of our visit on the island and he was always available. Looking forward to visit again :)

The staff member Kerasia was really friendly and super helpful. She provided us with nice tips on things to do and see in the island. The location of the apartment was super close to the port. It was relatively easy to get to the location. The apartment is perfect for a couple and it’s really lovely inside. Cozy!

Beautiful apartment. We got a very warm personal welcome at the ferry. Dorothea was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is very close to the ferry, very big, very well equiped and the view from the big balcony is stunning. We would love to stay at Villa Chrysodimi longer next time we are on Chalki.
Halki
The location was excellent. The apartment was lovely and clean with all the usual amenities. Great views from the balcony. We even got a bottle of wine as part of the welcome pack even though we were only staying 3 nights. If we ever visit Halki again, we will definitely look to book this property.

Location is just amazing, right on the seafront and very peaceful, and despite being a studio, the place feels large because of the high ceiling. I also found the studio quiet compared to other places I've stayed on Halki. I even managed to sleep through the festival!

Location was excellent a short walk from the center and two beaches of the island. Every detail is available at the house. The owners were very kind and we had a lovely holiday at Lucas houses. Thanks
The best location of the island! their outdoor space is smartly designed to allow you to enjoy the views at any time of the day. Mrs Marina is such a sweetheart.
