Caldera Stories private suites features free WiFi throughout the property and views of sea in Megalochori. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. We have been staying in the suite at the first floor with the entrance on the left. The room was as described from the pictures but once we got there we were amazed! The view is indescribable and the centrepiece of the room which anyway has all the comforts you can desire. Fotis is a great host always available for anything and ready to give you tips about the island. The position is not central but far from the chaos and if you get a rental car or scooter you can easily reach any point of the island in less than 30 min. We had the breakfast included which was plentiful with both sweet and salt food. Definitely suggested for your holidays in Santorini! The best on the island for quality/price
Hotel in Megalochori
Star Hotel lies just 164 feet from the caldera, in the traditional settlement of Megalochori in Santorini. Leisure options include 2 outdoor pools, a poolside snack bar and a hot tub. A lovely, clean family run hotel! we were greeted so warmly and treated so well during our stay. The rooms were very clean and the grounds were well kept with a beautiful pool and bar area. The home cooked breakfast buffet had a lot of options and was more than enough food. Very convenient to all areas of the island and you can arrange anything you need from a ride to a sightseeing ticket through the front desk. Such a lovely family running the hotel! We really enjoyed our stay.

Hotel in Megalochori
Located in Megalochori, within a 11-minute walk of Thermis Beach and 2.4 miles of Santorini Port, Azanti Suites - Adults Only has accommodations with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private... We liked everything about Azanti, even the minor details. Our room (honeymoon villa) was kinda an extension of the main resort, so there was literally no one in both side of our villa. The pool was nice, and the sunset views from there was stunning. The breakfast was good, but sometimes a bit cold which I understand, because they bring it from a third-party restaurant. We are not bar people, so we didn't have much trouble, but Azanti might think of adding small restaurant/bar which will be perfect for everyone. A special shoutout for Christine, she is such a sweet host. She helped us plan our trip, cruises and even the good restaurants. What makes her unique is, she is not a robot, who just serves your purpose. She is a human who sometimes makes mistake, and then does everything to make up for it. If you stay in Santorini, Azanti is the place to stay!
Megalochori
Enjoying panoramic views over the Caldera and the Aegean Sea, Alti Santorini Suites offers minimal-style suites with outdoor and individual, heated plunge pools with hydromassage facilities. This place probably have the best view on the island, we enjoyed our time greatly. Place was quiet, clean and warm. Another very positive aspect of this place is the staff. Most friendly and positive people I've met in the hotels/places to stay.

Azanti Suites - Adults Only, Caldera Stories private suites, and Artemis Suites got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Megalochori.
This town is a great reprieve from the hustle and bustle ion the rest od Santorini. But beware of Sandandstone Villa. It is NOT as presented in photos. Although $$$$ ($750/day!) we two couples left after a day, (although we had prepaid for 3) it was that bad. Life is too short to deal with that type of BS. Check out other places. We moved to White Harmony Suites and couldn't have been more satisfied. Incredible place and great value.
It's a bit quiet there, you need to be prepared to travel elsewhere on the island for the "touristic" places, but as Santorini is so small it isn't really an issue. I was there a few days before the official "opening of tourist season" so I don't know if Megalochori gets any busier. Be aware there are no footpaths! Seems the same everywhere on the island - you have to walk on the road. I enjoyed my visit regardless and would definitely recommend a visit (you may only need a week tops).
The morning and sunset views of the caldera from the hot tub on the front deck is incredible. The manager was really helpful with restaurant recommendations and suggestions. The spartan Unit was clean and sized for two but would be cramped with more than two guests. I felt safe in the complex of four units. It is close to the small village of Megalochori where there are three respectful restaurants serving traditional cuisine. Although you could walk to the village I think a vehicle is necessary for traversing the island.
Superb views and easily accessible by car, public busses or the hotels own transfer service. Within walking distance of the historic centre of Megalochori and its restaurants / winery's. Excellent service by courteous caring staff, great rooms and facilities. Breakfast was excellent but other food disappointing (use the local restaurants)
If you are going to stay in Meglaochori, you need transport for most of the time. Whilst breakfast is good, the room service menu is limited, and the restaurant menu is just OK, so eating out most nights is the option, but walking down to the village of Meglaochori is taking your life into your own hands, and Ok going there, but the hill back is testing, especially after a meal
Megalochori is a small, traditional village with just a few shops and taverns, but the ones that are there are great! The food at Olio at the central square was a treat. Explore stunning views around the town as well as its labyrinth of alleyways inside. A single street through town is just wide enough for regular/small cars, but there's large parking areas just outside of town within 3 minutes walk from the central square.
Megalochori
- Great host, always available and such a nice lady. She had a small typical greek café/restaurant right below the house. Though we arrived late and it was fully booked, she had food delivered to us on order (great typical greek dishes). - Amazing and diverse breakfast. - The house was beautifully decorated, great ambiance. - The transfer was arranged for us. - Such a quiet and lovely place in Santorini, away from all the chaos of Thira and Óia, though transfer service was available if booked in advance.
Megalochori
Super happy with our stay here! The location is great in the middle of a traditional village next to a blue dome. There were many restaurants nearby, but still quiet. The hotel is brand new, the suite was stunning with very nice decoration. The staff was amazing and super helpful. A very warm welcome! They literally arranged everything for us! Really good breakfast! Relaxing at the private jacuzzi was the cherry on top!
Megalochori
The structure is in a great position, very close to all the best restaurants. The room was very nice and reflecting the typical Santorini style. We particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and the great jacuzzi in the bathroom. Harris and all the staff were very nice and kind: they arranged a transfer from the airport for a fair price and they offered us a bottle of wine and water.
Everything: 1. Place - the perfect appartment in only 5 minutes from places of interest on Santorini named "caldera view" and "heart of Santorini" (Google knows this) - best view on caldera from appartments' balcony. 2. 5-Star hotel service. 3. 5-Star hospitality from owner. 4. 3-Star hotel price. It's really one of the best places I ever knew.
Megalochori

Megalochori
Nice location in a quiet and not so touristic part of Santorini. The estate was rather new and in good shape. Selection of breakfast options was very good and the staff always prepared to answer any guest questions and very helpful.
