We loved our stay! The "lady of the manor" (I forgot her name) is absolutely lovely and attentive. The room where we stayed was spacious, clean, with a beautiful view. The kitchen has everything to make a simple breakfast. I will only mention that having a car is very helpful as is a bit of a walk everywhere, but not an issue if you love to walk.

We loved this little hotel. So comfortable and in the center of everything but tucked away down one of the quieter streets. Extremely comfortable beds and sheets. Air conditioning worked well. TVs hidden behind mirrors was a cool trick that fascinated the kids, and thank you for Netflix. Overall just extremely charming and the coziest little retreat right in the middle of the old town.

A beautiful town, with lots of interest, both historical and nightlife-wise. Lots of pleasant bars, restaurants of high quality and a range of prices. A safe place to walk around at night too, with a relaxed atmosphere. Gonia tou cavalouri served both of us one of the best meals we’ve ever had in Greece over many years of visiting.

Well, Nafplio is a fantastic town. You have to visit.
Well, Nafplio is a fantastic town. You have to visit. It has a wonderful architecture, beautiful little streets, access to the sea, close to many orchard, archeological sites, museums, beautiful stores, many boutiques, great restaurants. For summer visitors, the downtown can be quite hot and humid, so prefer staying a little further outside and just visiting the downtown early and late in the day when it is cooler, but that it a matter of preference...Not to be missed!

One of the most beautiful places to visit, approximately 2 hours from Athens. The old town is a gem, we had the most amazing dinner at a tavern called "The Corner of Kavalaris" and we travelled by car both to the Kandyli and Kandia beach which are around 20 to 30 minutes away from our Guesthouse. I would gladly revisit next year or sooner if possible.

The city of Nafplio was the first capital of the Neohellenic state and one of the most romantic cities of the country. Very close is the archaeological site of the ancient city-state of Mycenae of King Agamemnon and his wife Clytemnystra of the royal House of Atreides. Mycenae is the oldest city on the European continent, the second oldest civilization after the Minoan of Crete and the Royal House of Atreides the oldest and first Royal House of Europe. Also very close to the city of Nafplio is the largest and most acoustically perfect ancient Greek theater in the world, the ancient theater of Epidaurus with many performances of ancient Greek tragedies throughout the summer season. The entire wider area around the city of Nafplio is of magical beauty, which combines the beauty of ancient Greece and Greece of the 19th century!

Naplfio is a quaint and well restored harbour town with many neo-classical buildings, lots of eateries, a good variety of shops (selling more than plastic statues of Zeus) and several Venetian/Byzantine castles to explore in the town itself. The local have embraced growing Bougainvillea so many streets are shady and awash with colour from the flowers. The place has enough locals and tourists to give it a vibrant feel but it is not an overcrowded 'sea of humanity'. Well situated to explore eastern Peloponnese and western Attica, the town has a remarkably more relaxed feel to it that the bustle of Athens.
Spacious, comfortable and very helpful staff. And such a beautiful from the balcony. I sent a short video of the view- nighttime and daytime, as well as telling friends ( in Greece and England as well as relatives in America ) about the amazing apartment . All of them agreed that the view from the balcony was beautiful and my Greek friends in Nafplion that it was in a great location, with close proximity to the square, the seafront, shops and bus station. Breakfast choices a good variety at good prices.
For me - the best choice in Nafplio after trying several different options. The location of the hotel is perfect - right on top of the old town, only a few steps aways from it, but at the same time very quiet, ideal for a good night sleep, and with amazing views of the old town and the sea. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast can be enjoyed at the open veranda. And beautiful Arvanitia beach is also extremely close.
This is a superb place to stay. The building is stylish and very comfortable and the location ideal for exploring Nafplio. However, it is the welcome, and detailed information from Akis and his mother that makes this such a standout place to stay. That and the breakfasts - probably the best in Greece (or anywhere!}. Would happily recomend and we will be back..
It's a good place to stay at if you travel through Greece for 1-2 days. Its located near the road so its a bit noisy. The sea is not suitable for swimming. The beach is dirty and basic. The hotel is pretty old but clean. Breakfasts are Okay but no Greek food at all.
The location was amazing in the old town of Nafplion. The pension was very nice, tidy, clean and modern. The breakfast was very good a serving tray loaded with delicious breads, cookies, fresh fruits and yogurt. Definitely a highlight of our trip in Greece .
