Z Boutique Hotel is set in Panormos Rethymno, 25 mi from Heraklio Town. Free WiFi throughout the property is available. Every room comes with a flat-screen TV. The rooms, house and location were beautiful, the staff very friendly and helpful (and we were quite difficult guests...), the breakfast was amazing! Around the hotel, there are little streets to stroll and have a coffee or something to eat and it's very calm.
Right on the seafront in Panormos, Europa Hotel is surrounded by a lush garden and features a swimming pool, poolside bar and restaurant. The staff were all very helpful. The hotel was very well decorated the decor was excellent . Our bedroom was bright and modern with a lovely sea view . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay .
Kirki Village is a friendly hotel, located in the quiet village of Panormo, less than 656 feet from the beach and close to Rethymon. Free WiFi in all areas is available. Kirki village is a clean, simple and comfortable hotel with a lot of charm. Staff is extra ordinary, especially ANASTASIA, Gerasimous and Amalia. They make you feel like you are part of extended family and nothing seems to be too difficult for them. The owner is amazing as well and you really feel as a family guest and not one of many tourists. Beach is 3 minutes of easy walk away and center of the village is just below the property. Lovely and clean swimming pool with a bar to relax, stunning views of the property and the sea from apartment number 50. Food is daily made, DELICIOUS and fresh with enough variety. It is not a typical buffet you would find in a big hotels, it’s a meditarenan fusion with a lot of local options and we found it just perfect. Tastes like a proper home made food. Both breakfast and dinner were beyond delicious.Property is very clean, rooms are cleaned daily, towels changed every 2-3 days, swimming pool is spotless and the overall experience is just perfect - real relaxing and enjoyable holidays. As a person from the hospitality industry who traveled entire world and stayed in many different places, I can say Kirki comes right to the top of the list for it’s STAFF, CHARM, FOOD, CLEANLINESS and fantastic family like atmosphere. Value for many is excellent and I would definetly recommend half board arrangment. P.S. Personal anegdote: I had a wish to baptize in Crete and Anastastia went beyond her way to arrange it, introduce me to the priest and the owner agreed to be my God father. That’s how much of a personalized service one gets in Kirki. My family loved it and we would definetly come back.
Captain's House is a unique beautiful traditional building, situated just above the sea with a magnificent view. We loved staying in Panormos and the location of the hotel was great. We wished that the hotel staff were a little more available for questions, but they were also running the restaurant so maybe that's why they weren't inside as much. The windows with views of the sea were a bit small, but you could hear the sound of the ocean which was lovely. Great to have our own kitchen as we often do our own breakfast and tea when we are traveling. Panormos is a quiet town, with a bunch of restaurants. There is sheltered beach right next to the hotel which is great if you want to swim and don't want big waves or if there is wind.
Castello Apartments is located in Panormos of Rethymno, just 164 feet from the sandy beach and a short walk from restaurants and mini markets. Great view from the living room and balcony, new furniture, comfortable bed, next to some good restaurants, friendly locals... Perfect for a couple and good value for money.
Located a few steps from Panormos Beach, Paradise studios offers air-conditioned accommodations with a patio. Irini was so welcoming and helpful, the apartment was very cosy, nicely decorated, very well equiped, an enchanting greek terrasse above! Dreamy place really that I warmly recommand.
Located just a 2-minute walk from Panormos Beach, Cozy Apartment in Panormo provides accommodations in Panormos Rethymno with a restaurant, a garden, as well as room service. Everything was perfect. Marko, the owner, is really special! If we go to Crete again, for sure we'll go to meet him again!

Many families visiting Panormos Rethymno loved staying at Europa Resort Hotel, Captain's House Traditional Hotel-Apartments & Suites, and Kirki Village.
Panormos is lovely. It's a small town with less tourists which we loved. The pace is more mellow and there are lots of restaurants to chose from. There is a small beach protected from waves which is great for swimming or for kids if it's windy.
Panormos is a family friendly village, that is notnyet soufficated by tourists. It has just enough of atmosphere not to be bored and it is quiet enough not be overwhelmed with the touristic stuff. Locals are very nice and polite. Crete in general is a place of tradition, pride and a lot of history, so as a guests, everyone should resepct that and behave acordingly. Local tavernas and restaurants are extra ordinary with delicious food and hospitality, especially “The Captains’s house” right on the small sandy beach perfect for families. Easy to get to the village and to go around for sightseeing. Very clean streets and gardens. Small, but full of charm. Loved it and would come back again.
Small but lovely beach with sunbeds supplied by a local cafe which cost 8€ for two beds and umbrella OR buy 8€ worth of food and drink when you arrive and your sunbeds are free - excellent. Lovely restaurants overlooking the harbour, serving very nice food and not expensive.
Eating out was a real treat. High standard of cooking and such good value. Every single meal ended with a little 'treat on the house' either in the form of raki or a dessert. Would recommend in particular The Captain's House and Gerasimos but we didn't have one meal anywhere that was less than excellent
We get there with car rented. It was too expensive to take taxi so we decided to rent a car. We eat in the Panormos many places all of them were good, but few restaurants were our favorite, but I can not remeber the names :) Our favorite was near the sea on th right side from the village. The name starts from letter A.. Nice stuff, beautiful view and wonderfull food
The small fishing village of panormos is quaint with a few restaurants and a couple of small tourist shops. We ate in the anchor twice and loved it. Rethymno is a town with lots of shops and restaurants. It was about 25 mins by taxi from our hotel but worth a look.
The whole team at Iberostar was just fantastic. The breakfast and dinner buffet were quite good (they met my expectations for a 4* hotel) with lots of choices. Each customer has the possibility to spend 1 evening / week at another restaurant of the hotel (eg. the Cretian restaurant) but we did not have this chance as we were only staying three nights, but there was a waiting list of 4 days. The hotel park was quite nice too. There, you can easily have a 15 minute walk in this quiet space.
Loved the accommodation as it was clean, comfortable bed , with comfy lounge area and an amazing view. We were concerned if it would be noisy as right by some restaurants but it wasn’t. It may be a bit noisier in high season. The village has enough tavernas and shops and a nice little beach if you do not have a car but we hired one to see more of the Iskabd
Charming boutique hotel, lovingly renovated from a authentic Cretan home, located in a quaint village by the sea. The staff was awesome, making sure our stay was pleasant, giving great tips on sightseeing and local tavernas. The room was tastefully decorated, as was the rest of the hotel. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful.
Jannis and his mom were excellent hosts. We felt their kindness and helpfulness all the time. The apartment were clean and tidy with an excellent view to the sea. It was ideal for us to stay at Knossos Apartment as it is close to the city but calm and silent at nights so we could rest between our daily trips of discovering Crete.
The view was stunning and the staff was incredibly helpful. We'd recommend this hotel to anyone, but especially couples who want luxury at a great price. The room was more than enough space and very clean. The view - on the water with the private pool - was relaxing and private.
Excellent Hotel quiet clean comfortable nothing is too much trouble breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Central location we loved the place and would highly recommend it we will definitely be going back
New, modern room. Very friendly and helpful check-in. The organized early breakfast at 7am for me as I had to leave to the airport early. Parking directly in fron of the hotel. Good value for money
The views were great, easy to walk into town, multiple beaches to swim from. The house was lovely and clean, well kitted out for holiday rentals. Christina was lovely and most helpful.
Spacy, clean, right on the beach. Panormo is a good location for trips around crete. Receptionists were helpful and spoke good english
Enjoyed the pool and beach area. Our room had a nice view of the sea and the food and drinks were excellent. Very reasonably priced.
Great pool, although with limited space for loungers, huge balcony and very clean. Modern kitchen area.
Gorgeous setting, centred around a beautiful courtyard - five minutes from the beach and a couple of lovely little tavernas. Fantastic, helpful host
Excellent location, close to the sea, plenty of shops and restaurants around. Also, outstanding customer service.
Very good furniture. Very nice bathroom. Unexpected for a room in that price-range.
