The apartment was centrally located, yet there was always parking nearby. Fully equipped, comfortable and clean. These were very hot days, and luckily every room had AC. The host was very responsive to every equest, and had recommended great nearby restaurants. With a cpmplementary bottle of wine, who needs more?

Pyrgos is a small town with good access to beach resorts, Olympia and the mountains of the Peloponnese. It is in the west of Greece, so it gets more rain than the east of the Peloponnese - obviously not a problem in the summer, but something to be aware of out of season. It has some good restaurants and a very good archaeological museum. It is also quite near to Patras for anyone arriving by sea from Italy.

Exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. I used it as a base to visit Ancient Olympia. Close to the bus station, it suited my needs well. Normally considered a business hotel, tourists should use it more. Pyrgos is a pleasant town with a surprising variety of bars and restaurants, particularly on the lively and cosmopolitan main square.
