Interesting to see the Grand Master's Palace for a cost of 8 euro. Best to buy Combo ticket as for any extra 2 Euro (total 10 euro) you get to go into three other museums. If bought separately you pay 3 euro for each of the other museums separately, plus the original 8 euros. (Note this is the pricing as at June 2022).
There are two parts to Rhodes town. The new modern part with pharmacies and Zara and other well known shops and then the astonishing old walled city of Rhodes town which is on the east side of the new town. All within walking distance. The old town is jaw dropping. It is a unesco world heritage site - the largest medievil walled city in the world and is a warren of cobbled streets (take sensible sandals - heels would be murder) with lots to discover. Little tavernas tucked down alleyways squares with cafes and huge old shady trees covering them - all the usual touristy bits especially down at the port end where all the cruise ships come in - but also areas that feel undisovered and real. There always seems to be a gentle breeze and shaded areas and it is immaculately clean.
There were lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The beach was vast and beautiful. There were also a lot of shops to get everything I needed. Also a great location because it is easy walking distance to everywhere. The Old Town is a fabulous place for shopping, eating and drinking.
I always enjoy coming to Rhodes Town as I feel like I know the place reasonably well now. The sense of history is all around and it is a fairly lively and interesting place to visit. It is a medieval town, so walking is mostly the easiest mode of transport. Get yourself walking fit and bring decent sandals or good walking shoes/trainers. Even travelling longer distances, I never found a problem getting transport. People are always willing to be helpful and friendly. There is plenty of choice for eating with loads of restaurants to suit all tastes. As a lazy tourist, I also like the fact that English is widely spoken - it seems to be the second language here.
Lovely old town easy to get round and lots to see. Cruise ship capital but in Late May it wasn’t an issue. Some places boardering on annoying and tat ie trying to get you in to eat and selling massive glass boots of beer but off the main drag all beautiful and pretty. Felt very safe.
Fabulous historic city,a must visit UNESCO city, medival city.a day trip to lindos is very good there are taxi s available to go around the city ,lots of good places to eat . Rhodes acropolis and the residential area around is a very colourful place to walk around
All the staff was nisely and helpful in all we need. They advice us and help us about turn around in Rhodes. Local people with all their energy to serve and help you in anything you ask as a family business that they love that they are doing. The pool area is perfect to relax, is modern and cool place we really enjoyed. The breakfast buffet it's the classic full menu that we needed and was nice. Location is good, 15min walking for old town and 3min walking from nice area with good restaurants and cocktail.
Rhodes Town
I stayed at The Knights of Old Town with two friends. Our flight was delayed getting in and the host, Stamos, helped us find a new way of getting there and waited for us at the hotel to make sure we were safe and settled. Stamos continued to be highly accessible and was ready to help with anything we needed. The rooms were very cute and had the old town charm. The location was perfect and allowed us to access the old town with ease as well as the newer city and beaches.
Rhodes Town
The staff here are exceptional. Whatever you want to do or see in Rhodes, they will share the best local knowledge and make it happen. The attractions, restaurants, bars and shops that the staff recommended are the best on the island, and topped highlights of my 16-day stay in Greece. The location is also unbeatable - in the heart of the old town, but very quiet, safe, and friendly. Can’t recommend the Medieval Inn highly enough, I’ll definitely be coming back!
The hosts are fantastic and made us feel at home. They were always excited to give us recommendations and tell us about Rhodes. The host even lent me a travel book to help with my travels. The breakfast was great and they even made us a to-go box for when we had to wake up before the usual breakfast times. The garden is lovely and a great place to hang out. I highly recommend this hotel! We would stay there again.
Awesome friendly and helpful staff. Attention for our baby was awesome. Everybody do the best they can, to make perfect holidays. Hotel location pretty is pretty nice. You can choose beach. City centre is not far and you can walk throught nice local shops and cafes. Nice food. You can choose from different dishes. Special thanks for the pizza guy ;) awesome homemade pizza :)

Yvonne is a great host, making sure that you have everything that you could need for your stay. She was helpful in giving recommendations to the local restaurants and giving advice on places to go.
The best place for staying in Rhodes Town. It’s located close to Old city, shopping streets and restaurants. Staff is brilliant, especially Cristina and the guy that worked in the evening when we arrived(sorry, I don’t remember his name). Welcome drinks, breakfast and sweets were delicious. Bed is comfortable and it was quiet at night. Definitely worth to stay!
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the old town. The hotel itself is inside castle walls but the facilities are modern and comfortable. The star of the show however is the owner Savvas, who was super helpful, friendly and also a fantastic chef - his breakfast omelettes are famous for a reason! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Rhodes town.
The hotel is conveniently located at walking distance to both the old and new Rhodos, directly on the beach with clean see and services. Staff is friendly and supportive, the hotel is clean and the breakfast has a good variety of food. There is no dedicated parking, but plenty of space in the surrounding, at least in September.
Many positives here including : very quiet location located next to Church , 2-3 minute walk where boat was departing from Rhodes port to Symi Island , amazing hospitality by George and his wife Alexia, easy and quick walk to heart of Old Town Rhodes , nice breakfast including homemade goods , very nice balcony area.

Wonderful property, clean and well maintained. We had a group of 7 and every one of us were impressed with the property. We weren’t completely sure on location as we hadn’t been to Rhodes before but this was perfect as it fell right between old town and falaraki.
Great location and extremely comfortable room, also in a quiet street of Old Rhodes . Konstantina was amazing in setting up tours and giving us recommendations, she truly made our stay memorable. Evaggelia made great breakfasts and Kalliopi was very nice.
Rhodes Town

For a night stopover in Rhodes Town, this is a great little hotel. Good location and nice views from the rooms over the harbour. Bathrooms a little tired but adequate for a short stay.
The hotel was in the centre of Rhodes Town. It was only a 5 minute walk to the harbour or 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the beautiful Old town.
Hotel Pearl has friendly and polite staff. The real good thing was it's breakfast! Hotel Pearl's breakfast was the best I we ever had in Greece so far.
