Very nice place. Staff of the hotel very nice & kind. Facilities were great. Being other side of island Sami to us felt like central to go here and there even.if was 54mins-1 hour drive . We were close around corner from Drosgayo caves & Melisani caves . Greek breakfast was good parking on property great. The beach bar opened till midnight to have drinks

Everything. This place is a gem. The room was quite big, full of everything that you could possibly need, the bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was spacious. The parking space is comfortable and always protected by the trees, preventing your car from becoming a furnace. Position-wise, if you have a car it's excellent for it's literally a 2 minutes drive to Sami. If you wanna walk to the town it's not the most ideal scenario ever (12 mins on average), but it's still perfectly doable especially during the daytime. You may find quite a lot of people still walk that road even at night, but personally I wouldn't do it (simply because there's no sidewalk, and the illumination isn't the best). You've got two decent supermarkets in the immediate surroundings, and the room has got a fully working kitchen that allows you to properly fix your meals in case you don't want to go to the restaurant every single day. If you are a remote worker: the wi-fi was around 15mbps (download) on average depending on the position, it was overall quite stable. The 4G was around 30mbps, which is absolutely great considering the standards of the island. So if you have to work with bigger files you're gonna use the hotspot anyway, if you just need check your email and deal with smaller files the wifi is good enough. The hosts are great, absolutely fantastic. As far as we're concerned, best hosts on the planet!

Fantastic size ! So big and a gorgeous view . Really comfortable bed . Lovely family and a darling dog Bubu!! Set in a hillside surrounded by olive trees . Peaceful and a really short drive into town . You could easily walk in . Fantastic to have a washing machine to get our laundry done and hung out on our own line . Definitely recommend .

Sami is a wonderful authentic town, touristy but not in an annoying way! It has wonderful places where you can eat good traditional food. There are many amazing places to visit just nearby. Antisamos beach is one of them. This town is a great place to stay to explore the entire island. Don't miss it!

Sami is ideal for a holiday in Kefalonia because it provides you with choices that you might not have in other locations. Sami is what we consider versatile from a tourist perspective. In Sami you have multiple quality restaurants to chose from, if you plan to eat out for the entire holiday. Conversely, Sami has supermarkets and a bakery if you plan to do some cooking or barbeques of your own. In Sami you can also rent cars, motorbikes and boats. Sami has beautiful beaches and the two caves which are very interesting. Not far from Sami is the village of Agia Efimia which also has nice restaurants and spectacular beaches.

Sami is a small port town, there are plenty of restaurants...

Sami is a small port town, there are plenty of restaurants and bars to recharge. The shops are OK, but regarding quality there are only a few. What I liked is that there are some shops selling handcrafted and homemade products. It was not really busy regarding night life and tourists, I heard that it was more vibrant in former times. For me was the second time in Sami and I value it a lot due to the surrounding beaches and the friendly people.

Sami was my favourite location on Kephalonia...

Sami was my favourite location on Kephalonia...I scooted round the island but feel Sami is the most laid back. I liked the bit of beach where the locals swam. The food was good at all the restaurants and I particularly enjoyed drinking in the evening at the blues bar. The only thing that tainted my stay was when on the last day just before I was about to drop my scooter off the police pulled me over for not having an helmet on...and gave me a huge fine of £335. Man all the locals were scooting round without helmets...how come I got whacked? Nice place though

Sami was a great place to stay!

Sami was a great place to stay! We had 4 nights and wanted to stay longer. Very nice little town, we stayed in a great hotel, near a lovely little beach, great promenade and just enough restaurants and shops. You could go for day trips to other beaches, caves and to Ithaka, hire a boat or just stay and relax!

Although Sami is a less touristy town, its location gave me better access to both the east and west coast of Kefalonia. Also being near the port made it easier to catch early morning ferries to neighbouring islands.
