One of my favorite places in Greece. It's my second time there and i can't get enough. Excellent location. Many places to go around. Renting a boat and visiting the nearby beaches and caves is a must. All the restaurants and bars on and around the port are very nice. The personnel is very kind everywhere.
Syvota has been a favourite of ours for over 10 years now, with its fabulous views over to Paxos and Corfu and its low key nightlife where you can sit looking over the harbour watching the sunset and sailing boats. It has always been a place where we have been able to relax from day one, enjoying the local bars, restaurants and beaches. A mixture which will suit all tastes and ages. It is not a large resort but has people of many nationalities whom return year after year including Italians, Dutch, Danish, Greek, Slovakian, British and French.
This is an ideal spot if you want to relax in a peaceful environment out of season, plenty of places to eat and drink, all of good quality and reasonably priced. Lots of lovely little bays for swimming and sunbathing in the vicinity but you need to walk or drive a little way for the best. Don't expect wild nightlife or family entertainment, there is a water park close by but only in peak season. Boat rental and taxi boat are available as is a taxi rank in the centre. If you are a carnivore the Steak House offers a great selection of meats in large portions at good prices. The Blue Coast on the front has great views and a small but quality menu. Plenty of other options available in the vicinity from fish to pizza. To make the most of your visit hire a car for at least a few days.
If you like beaches, this is the place for you! The organised beaches are rather crowded, but we found a wonderful secluded beach with cristal clear water. Unfortunately we missed out on renting a little boat, which would have been the perfect way to explore the area. We had our best diner at Filakas restaurant.
PROS: Beautiful landscape, consisting of densely forested (green) hills going into the water. Several beautiful beaches with clear water great for swimming, kayaking or sailing. Great sunsets. Good food. Felt very safe. Great place to relax. CONS: The downside, as is true with much of coastal Greece, is the seemingly unregulated construction. Greece is beautiful but what Greeks have done and keep doing to their country often lacks good taste... The lush green hills of Syvota are slowly being replaced by walls of concrete: hotels and cheap rooms to let with no uniform architectural style and disregard to fitting in the landscape. Plain ugly... Sitting at the Syvota harbor and looking north or south, I was saddened to see the large number of buildings that have been erected in the past 10-15 years. Sad comparison to the last time I was there 15 years ago. But, despite all that, Syvota remains a beautiful place. Parking is often an adventure, especially near the busy Bella Vraka beach where it is nearly impossible to find a parking spot unless you get there in the early am.
5 great things about Sivota: - Zavia beach (10 minutes walk from the center). - Boat trip to Piscina beach with tour of local islands and complimentary wine tasting. - Free WIFI on the port. - Tasty food everywhere. - Everybody is polite and relaxed.

All I have to say is that this was the best vacation I have had in a long time. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the Hotel Manager George Diamandopoulos was an absolute pleasure and he and his staff made it a point to make our stay a very memorable one. He made sure that every request was fulfilled. I absolutely recommend this hotel and I commend Mr. Diamandopoulos and his staff for being professional and courteous. Thank you again. I was sad to leave, they made us all feel like family. Till we meet again...

Everything was perfect: spacious bathroom ( which is rarely found in Greece), excellent WiFi( with our own router), well equipped kitchen, big balcony with a wonderful view of the beach and the boats. The apartment is in excellent condition-brand new. They provide beach towels every day for the guests at the beach bar and free umbrellas. The small town of Sivota is around 600 m away and is easily accessible by foot. There is a boat rental on the adjacent beach ( a must if you want to experience the wonderful beaches). The beach is small but wonderful and the water is heavenly.
