Hotel Nestos is located at the entrance to the city of Xanthi, only half an hour from the Kavala Airport. The rooms are modern and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. Excellent access from the high way. Parking in front of hotel is convenient to unload luggage. Two grate supermarkets right next to the hotel.

Excellent train trip though the Nessos gorge, and amazing view from the top. Good path along the river, but we did not do the 4.5km and back. Worth doing taking a picnic. Also one could probably take the train one way and canoe down the river the other way, probably with Riverland.com
