We had a wonderful stay and only wish we could have stayed longer. The property is perfectly located and offers excellent value for money. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed during our trip. Antonio, Maria, and Vjeke welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home from the very beginning. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, and their hospitality made our stay even more special. The accommodation is located above their restaurant, where we enjoyed a truly delicious dinner. It was a fantastic experience to enjoy such great food just a few steps from our room. One of the highlights of our entire vacation was the breathtaking sunset we watched from our window. It was honestly one of the most beautiful sunsets we experienced during our travels and a memory we will cherish for a long time. Although we stayed for only one night, it was a memorable experience, and we would happily return for a longer stay in the future. Highly recommended!

The location was perfect, walkable from the ferry and right at the entrance to the National Park. The view from the balcony over the harbor was unbeatable, a great spot to watch the sunset. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We loved the beautiful views from the balcony, perfect for watching the sunset. Adio Mare is in a great location on the sea front and the owners were so helpful. The apartment was perfect, it was spacious and it was very comfortable.

Fantastic stay! The staff were extremely warm and welcoming. The Villa was charming, spotless and very peaceful with a lovely garden and large terrace with shade. The place was a very short walk to the beach. The drive there was unexpectedly adventurous on a narrow windy cliff road with gorgeous views. We had booked four rooms as we were travelling with a large group of extended family (including two dogs) - the villa owners were very accommodating. There was a lovely dirt path behind the property that was great for a run/walk. 30min drive to lots of great restaurants although the villa also has good food on site.

A ferry from Dubrovnik arrives in Pomena & so it’s easy to...

A ferry from Dubrovnik arrives in Pomena & so it’s easy to get to. But the harbour is still pretty & not too commercial. Easy access to the national park. Lots of restaurants & places to hire bikes, scooters, cars.

Lovely place to position yourself and use as a base for...

Lovely place to position yourself and use as a base for getting into the national park which is simply stunning. I arrived at 1630, dumped my bags and walked around the small lake. I was alone and it was just before a thunder storm so panicked when I took an incorrect path in the downpour. Corrected myself and the path eventually led me back in Pomena. Next day was better, first two hours walking in the rain and then the sun came out. Walked around the large lake, took the boat to the island, spent an hour on the kayak ( note cheaper on route to the second boat pick up point (15 euro) not 40 at the start of the park. Finished with a swim in the small lake. Ate at Herc and had their recommended Black cuttlefish Risotto (delicious) whilst watching an amazing sunset. Next day took a non electric bike to Polace and then back around the large lake going out to where the lake meets the sea (both sides) and then took the bike back (cheap in Pomena (15 euro), again double in the park. Note the are some hills but ok. Went back in the park for a final swim in the lake before catching the 16.55 ferry to Split .

Travelled with my adult daughter who absolutley loved the...

Travelled with my adult daughter who absolutley loved the National Park and would like to go again. Plenty of places to eat, the three where we ate were all good. Sorry can't remember names apart from Melody. Our stay was short and we went into the National Park the two whole days we were there. Some of the establishments shop and restaurants do not accept card payments so you need a bit of cash.

Laid-back (nightly entertainment is watching the sunset) and small but has what you need (except for the grocery store being seasonal). The park entrance is in town and the path leads directly to the salt lakes, I loved going early in the morning and having the place to myself. FYI - The tours start coming 9-10ish. Restaurants: Melody opens at 7am, takes cards, and is run by a lovely family serving good food. Croatian coastal prices are not cheap (I have been to Rovinj, Korcula, & Dubrovnik), any meal will be at least 12+ euro. Bring cash as well as credit cards.

Great location to base yourself for visiting Mljet NP.

Great location to base yourself for visiting Mljet NP. Lots of opportunities for watersports (on sea and lakes), hiking and cycling, and swimming both in sea and lakes. Ferries to and from were full so good job we booked in advance. Some lovely restaurants (be warned some are cash only) - with those to the north of the bay having great sunset views. Pomena itslef is not very big so easy to get around, and the "lakes" are only a short walk away.

Lovely seaside village where you disembark from the...

Lovely seaside village where you disembark from the Dubrovnik / Korcula catamaran. It is not the cheapest place to stay but good value on bikes and food (Lito supermarket) at the end of the village heading towards the national park. Also at this end is a lovely place (Forca Coffee Grill Bar) where you can sample a very nice breakfast for reasonable cost. But don't limit your explorations to Pomena, there are many other places to visit on Mljet island and not far from Pomena :-)
