Apartments Lorena Mljet features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Pomena. Nice apartment at a great location. Our host gave us all the necessary instructions for getting there and was helpful with information about the island and the sights. The apartment was clean and had a nice little balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee with a great view. All that was needed for our short stay was provided and we had great time there.

We had really amazing time in Petar’s apartment. Besides the fabulous view, the apartment was very comfortable and clean. Located right next to the beach in Pomena, Guest house Sanela offers accommodations in Mljet National Park. Free WiFi access is provided in all areas. Public parking is provided nearby. I think it is the best localisation in Pomena, house is on the rigth side of the road (so you are closer to the see than most of the houses in Pomena and there is no car road next to your window). Right next to Guesthouse is entrance to the National Park. Room was perfectly clean, there was fridge, basic kitchen stuff and GREAT VIEW. Highly recommend
Set in Pomena, Apartments Pomeštak offers accommodations with a balcony and free WiFi. In my opinion this is the best place to stay in Pomena! With its private sea side terrace with sun loungers and balconies overlooking the sea our stay was perfect. Mila the owner was incredibly welcoming.

It is the best place to stay on the Island as it is right next to the national park which is an absolute must. The sunset at the point was great and there was a good choice of restaurants nearby. It is so easy to see the national park from Pomena.
Pomena is a great base for exploring the national park end of Mljet island. We went at the start of October and although there were a fair few people arriving on boats and going to look at the lakes, once you got outside Pomena a little bit it was very quiet. On a hike of a few hours up one of the hills we passed one other group of people the whole time. If you like getting outdoors, nature, walking, hiking, swimming and that sort of thing I'd recommend Pomena and Mljet in general. A wonderful place. A few things to bear in mind when staying in Pomena. 1. You have to pay to visit the national park (which is the whole west side of the island). We paid £15 each for our 3 day stay and I think that's fair enough. 2. We didn't really look into it but I understand getting around the island is a bit of a challenge by bus. But we didn't find the need to anyway. 3. The restaurants aren't really geared up for vegetarians. It's mainly seafood/meat but there is a pizzeria or two.
Great little island for visiting the national park, cycling and hiking (only hike if you have a few days). Quite a few restaurants for a nice relaxing night but don't expect anything wild. 1x supermarket and places to rent bikes for around 11 kuna. This is a nice relaxing and exploring island. Plenty of places to go swimming in the lake.
Great little town and ideal gateway to the national park! A small grocery store and ATM can be found in the centre, and there are plenty of restaurants to try out. The local hotel allows access to its bar, child pool and beach which is good. The ferry from Dubrovnik/Split drops you right in the centre too. Be aware though that bad weather can lead to closure of local store, and facilities at the hotel mentioned above. Overall, great if you want easy access to the park!
Mljet is a very beautiful place and Pomena offers stay both close to the sea and at the entrance to the national park and the path to the lakes. Clear sea, warm lake, and strong smell of pine forest. Great for swimming and sunbathing in mid-summer and for walking and cycling in fall and spring. Very peaceful. Many nice private fish restaurants along the water during summer season.
Relaxing place, opportunities to walk, kayak, canoe, cycle. Small & friendly, lots of family owned businesses. Simple lifestyle. the menus don't vary much between restaurants, but it's honest local food, freshly prepared. Visitors are a mixture of nationalities, mainly European, with a few from USA, with none dominating. A chance to slow down.
